I have always been a strong supporter of LiteOn DVD products, as well as a DVD writer in one of my PC's I have two LiteON DVD players and two different LiteON DVD recorders all of which I have reviewed and been fiercely proud of; however a recent budget purchase has put LiteOn on a much different plateau in my mind. When my old DVD Recorder died on me I was a bit sceptical about purchasing this DVD Recorder, as i had never heard of the Liteon brand. But i heard from a good friend of mine that they were actually a very well established company. I bought this machine just before my wedding in 2006. I was looking for a budget machine as I did not want to put the big money in for a sony or some other name brand. I found the liteon for 135 dollars at walmart, 20 dollars more then a durabrand and a magnavox but I knew lite-on, it was the brand of my computers burner.
