When we found out I was pregnant again and my son being still to young for a buggy board or to walk we where on the look out for a nice double buggy. We did come across one from Graco that did seem ideal but it did look rather to chunky for we wanted.
We then came across this one Little ShieldsSt Moritzdouble pushchair. This one looked ideal for what we wanted and a nice price as well.
~~ What You Get In The Box~~
I was horrified when the delivery man came and handed me this box. I thought that I was going to have
to put the whole of this together. You don't though as you do have to put the wheels on and the brake and a few other bits.
Pushchair Wheels Nuts and bolts Brake bar Rain cover Instructions Hood Play tray.
~~ Fixing The Pushchair. ~~
This is quite hard to figure. The wheels was the worst bits. Though you do get insturtions best to follow them. Read them 2 or 3 times as you will need to. In a nut shell place the bar brake between the back wheels and then place all wheels on. Place the hood on and the play tray and you are away.
~~ Pushchair ~~
The pushchair as you can see is quite large and the wheels are just as bad. The back seat does fold down for a new born baby. The back seat has 3 different positions. The front only has 2 different positions. The front hood just slips on into place. The front tray is a sod to get on at 1st but does get easier. When folded the pushchair is quite small and does stand up with out falling over.
The shopping basket at the bottom is a good size one but again you will have problems if the back seat is laid down as you cant get nothing in the basket if the seat is laid back you have to mess around in getting the seat up then placing the items in your basket. This is a handful in a packed shop.
The rain cover is also easy to use and fit. This is just a case of slipping this over and fixing the Velcro bits together.
~~ Folding ~~
This is suppose to be 1 handed folding. Ok they lied. Before you start this make sure that the front seat is back and the front hood has been taken off. There is a switch on the just near the handle that you have to press to the left and then place your foot on the metal brake bit then push the pushchair up against a wall to collapse the pushchair. Once that has been done then you need to clip the pushchair to the clip.
~~ Cleaning ~~
The pushchair wheels are easy to clean. I generally use warm soapy water as this does the job well. For the rest of the pushchair I have not found out how to take the seat covers off. I usually do the same damp wipe and this does do the job.
~~ Price ~~
I paid £165 for mine last year. I have seen one now for £144 so depending on where you go you may get one cheaper. If you still want one that is.
~~ Where To Buy ~~
I brought mine from LxDirect last year. These can be brought from most places and all good baby shops.
~~ My Thoughts ~~
Well as I have said this did not last long only bought 10 months or so. The main problem being the front seat. My son would scream to get out and really it's no wonder as the seat is not very big at tall. His bum only just fitted on the seat.
The other problems that I did have was the front hood as this does not cover the whole of your Childs head and then the top of the hood used to rub on his head also. Making a trip out very uncomfortable for my son.
Their was a few more problems 1 being the steering of the pushchair. This was very hard to steer round corners. I think making the front seat bigger and the hood bigger then this pushchair would be an ideal one.
I did like the very large chunky wheels but that was about all I liked from the pushchair.
The shopping basket though was ideal if your baby was not laid down as when the back of the seat was laid down you could not fit nothing in the basket.
The other thing about this pushchair that used to annoy me is that when we was looking at the pushchair before buying it. It said that this would take one hand to fold down. What a lie !!! More like 1 wall 3 hands and 1 foot now that would be more like it.
~~ Would I recommend This ~~
Yes I would recommend this but only really for kids under 2 and a half for the front seat. If you are having twins then no either as this would not be ideal as the front seat does not go all the way back and the front hood does not cover as well as the back one does.
Thanks for reading.
