My two boys kept trying to sit and ride on my seven year old daughters barbie cars so i decided to buy them both a coupe car. These cars have been around for many years now and are still as popular with the little ones now as they were when they were first brought out.
These coupe cars are great fun for the kids and can be used from around the age of one as it is not a pedal car. They are so easy to use as you just push it along with your feet which is ideal espescially for the toddlers as until around the age of three most kids can not pedal a car or a bike.
The coupe car is around a metre high and has a yellow roof and red bottom half, There is four windows which are two at the side a front window and a rear window. It has a small door on the right hand side which opens and closes to make it easy for the kids to get in and out of the car. Inside the car there is a small black steering wheel with a small red car horn that is situated in the centre of the steering wheel and at the side of the steering wheel there is a silver key ignition which makes it a little more like a real car.
On the side of the of the car near the back there is a white petrol cap which opens and closes, my kids love this car because it is the only car they can use there electronic petrol station on as when you open the petrol cap there is a small round hole for you to put the petrol pump so that you can fill the car with petrol.
Both girls and boys get hours of fun from this car it is the most popular toy in my house as everyday i have at least 8 kids that come to play and even though my garden is like an adventure playground with everthing in it they always seem to go for the coupe cars which is great but because there are so many kids they do end up fighting over them as i only have two (must invest in some more).
The coupe cars are made of very tough plastic and have swivel wheels which make it easy to steer round corners. These cars are practically unbreakable, they are very strong and can handle almost anything. My kids have bumbed, bashed and crashed the coupe cars and apart from a few scratches they never seem to get damaged which is great. After a few hours of riding around in the coupe car the kids do seem to moan a bit about sore feet because they have had to push it along using there feet.
This car is a great fun for the kids but not only is it fun it is also a great way for them to get excercise on their legs and feet. The coupe car can be found in places like toys r us and can be purchased for around £30 which is great value for money because the car lasts for years, my kids have had theirs for around two years now and apart from a few scratches there is no damage to them.
Advantages: good value for money, sturdy, attractive, safe, easy to clean, lasts for years Disadvantages: can be difficult to store
Little Tikes Cosy Coupe
Having helped in nurseries from about 12 years old I have always seen the enjoyment children get out of this toy (as well as the fights for whos turn it is!). I also remember these being around when I was little in childrens indoor play areas.
The Little Tikes Cosy Coupe that we own, initially came from my mums nursery which she had to close when she fell pregnant with my brother in 1999. Various toys and equipment ... ...is it?
The Little Tikes Cosy Coupe is a 3 ½ ft tall brightly coloured plastic car which one child can sit in and use their feet to push forwards and backwards. The car has a red body with a yellow roof and has one working door on the lefthand side which enables the child to climb in and out easily. There is a steering wheel (with the essential horn!!) and even a petrol cap which when pulled off reveals a hole on the side so you can pretend to ...

...that I was perhaps a little too large (for I was a chubby little thing) to squeeze into one at that point.
I always liked them though, as I always vowed that when I had a child, one of the things they would definitely be getting was one of these. What makes it such an icon? It's got simplicity, style, safety and durability, all things we need in toys. I'm sure you all remember them, if not from my description, you will from the picture. Those cars ... ...a natty little door you could open and close to get in and out. Once inside there are no pedals, but there's something cool about powering the car with your feet like the Flintstones.
Well, the time had come when my darling devil of a child was starting to get a bit more active, forever going up the stairs (although she's not mastered getting down yet and screams to be retrieved from the top!), running round the house and generally having far too ...

Advantages: Toddlers just love it! Disadvantages: Why is it so expensive?
...Police Patrol version of the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe car. We were hoping to inherit the standard red/yellow one from my nephew, but at four and a half years old he still somehow manages to squeeze himself into it so we decided to get a new one for our two-year-old son. We went for the blue/white police version as it looks just a bit cooler than the regular red/yellow with a couple of special features to boot. The Little Tikes cars are just the right ... ...ground. It took my little boy a couple of weeks to master this skill but now he's able to manouver, reverse and turn the vehicle like a pro. Standard Features
--------------------------
There's a door on one side, which opens and shuts just like a real car door. Our two-year-old enjoys getting in and out of the car slamming the door behind him the way he's seen us do this in real life. The wheels are quite chunky and made of a hard-wearing material. ...

Advantages: Er, the new sounds, Little tikes brand name Disadvantages: After 10 years of use and filling up with stones you just have to get a new one!!
...Then I’ll begin.
The Little Tikes Company, goes back to 1970, can you believe that? Most people think they have only been around for the last 10 years or so. Little Tikes' headquarters are located in Hudson, Ohio. The company also has a number of locations outside the United States, including several manufacturing and distribution centers in Europe and Asia. Little Tikes employs more than 2,000 associates around the world, with about 1,300 based ... ...I have always trusted Little Tikes toys; they are made to excellent standards and keep going far and beyond their ‘needed’ lifetime. I have just recently thrown away a Cozy Coupe car, which I bought for my eldest son some 10 years ago. It had been used daily by him and then his brother and finally bit the dust just last summer after having its petrol tank filled up with stones a few months earlier, (Ben has some strange habits!)
Anyway, I decided ...

...is a review on the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, not a comment on a toddlers blissfully happy grandparents!
(Little Tikes Cosy Couple indeed!)
Ride-on toys are a feature of any garden where pre-school children play. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and some are more ride-in than ride-on. They are propelled by pedals, little feet or indeed parent-push power. The Little Tikes Cozy Coupe is a classic amongst them, the ultimate in toddler motoring! ... ...well worth the time and little effort. My first encounter with this marvel on wheels came when my eldest son was a few months old, my sister had found one in a sale and was being a doting Aunty. It was assembled and for many months my little son would sit inside it in his bedroom, waiting the day he would be big enough to go for a test-drive.
(Mummy said he could be Nigel Mansell, Daddy insisted on Damon Hill...but thats another story!) It is a ...

Advantages: High quality, durable, popular Disadvantages: Constructing the wheels requires serious muscle
...We bought the grande coupe car for my 22 month old as the legendary cosycoupe was a firm favourite from my childhood in the early 80s. It is suitable up to 5 years.
Although oddly the littletikes official website gives the measurements exactly the same as the cosycoupe I know from owning this car the grand coupe is slightly wider and higher. I remember myself playing in the cosycoupe when I was little and desperately trying to squish in! My daughter is fairly tall for her age and I didn't want this to outgrow her quickly. To give you an idea of how roomy it is two 22 month olds can sit together (one on a lap) which is essential to avoid fights breaking out...
Although slightly more expensive and roomy, the grande coupe is similar to the cosy - it has a horn and an ignition plus a petrol cap. It also has a boot at the back to...

....This model has a removeable parent handle and footrest-this differs from the littletikescosycoupe 2 which has a full roof and no handle or footrest. There is a squeeky horn and opening petrol cap.The wheels are also made of ridged plastic ,are black and have little red inserts-very stylish! This model is recommended for children aged from 12 months -5 yrs.
The car needs assembling, but even I found this fairly easy. There are several stickers provided to make the car look more realistic. The back wheels are fixed and only the front wheels move. The steering wheel is only for show and does not actually turn the car.The car is propelled by the child taking small walking steps .
My son has played with his car almost every for the past 2 months. It is always a popular choice when friends visit and many fights have started over this one...

...NEE NAA NEE NHAAA NEE NAAA.
Watch out here come the police in the littletikes patrol police car, its been driven by a 4 year old the police man could be between the age of 1 and 5 as it will be big enough inside for them.
There is only room for one patrol officer in this car and no space for prisoners behind him.
This police patrol car is a version of the cosycoupe you often see children driving around in these cars from littletikes are very popular in childcare settings
This car is ideal for the playground or inside in a large space. I did see one at toddler's world at the leisure centre in Dunstable.
As you might imaginer this car is made out of plastic coloured blue with the word police on the doors (there are 2). There is a roof over the top of the car it is not an open vehicle. (Ideal little Johnny then can...
