Well it has been a VERY long time, but I am hoping to get back to Ciao again.
After almost a year my confidence needs a boost so I will start with a few read and rates before writing any more reviews, give me a week or two!

Please note: this is a review on the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe, not a comment on a toddlers blissfully happy grandparents! (Little Tikes Cosy Couple indeed!)
Ride-on toys are a feature of any garden where pre-school children play. They come in a variety of shapes and sizes and some are more ride-in than ride-on. They are propelled by pedals, little feet or indeed parent-push power. The Little Tikes Cozy Coupe is a classic amongst them, the ultimate in toddler motoring!
Yes it arrives with some assembly required and this does include the dreaded sticker application. (undertaken with great care, whilst the voice of reason whispers ''these will last five minutes!'') But the outcome and the automotive pleasure experienced by your child makes it well worth the time and little effort.
My first encounter with this marvel on wheels came when my eldest son was a few months old, my sister had found one in a sale and was being a doting Aunty. It was assembled and for many months my little son would sit inside it in his bedroom, waiting the day he would be big enough to go for a test-drive. (Mummy said he could be Nigel Mansell, Daddy insisted on Damon Hill...but thats another story!)
It is a toy of great appeal its jolly red body-work and bright yellow roof can not help but bring a smile to any youngster. It has a door which really opens and its black steering-wheel has a bright red horn and brilliant beep! Although this toy is fairly large and very robust it is not too heavy for a toddler to propel using their feet and teddy can hitch a ride on the parcel shelf too!
The wheels look good, a striking contrast of white hub and black tyres (plastic rather than rubber). The front wheels pivote to allow for easier steering and the back wheels are fixed for better stability.
There is also a small open and close petrol cap for when the tank needs topping up! (Little Tikes also make a petrol pump ideal for this very purpose).
Although this is a very stable toy indeed, I would not recommend leaving very young children unattended with it, because it might tip on slopes etc. Apart from these obvious safety precautions it is a toy which inspires confidence from a safety point of view.
The Little Tikes Cozy Coupe is a toy of endurance, my eldest son is now six years old and has two younger brothers aged four and two years. The car was again one of the favourite toys in our garden last year and I am sure it will reprise its star role again this Summer, complete with stickers, which lasted much longer than I suspected.
It now has a companion in the form of the Cozy Coupe II, this was bought for my youngest son a year ago and has some fun modifications. The seat now has a higher back, making for a more comfortable ride. The parcel shelf has now become a truer storage compartment with cover, these are the biggest changes to the actual structure.
From a cosmetic point of view it now has a licence plate for that extra touch of driving elegance. The biggest change however is that it now has an ignition key complete with remote key clicker featuring electronic sounds, this gives an added measure of fun. Batteries are included and should be replaced with 2 Lithium batteries. Don't leave the key in the garden though, it really does not like the rain, as we found to our cost!
Little Tikes have done well here, they have improved a much loved toy, but they have not damaged its classic appeal. The idea and basic quality of the car remains the same. I also think that they have done well in not inflating the price too much, at Ł29.99 I think that this is indeed a good value toy.
A further step foward is on its way too, whilst checking the Little Tikes website for their official spelling of Cozy (I have seen Cosy and Cozy) I noted with great glee that the Tikes Racing Coupe is on its way! Maybe the Formula 1 drivers will feature after all!
