This is my sons favorite most played with toy ,so I feel well qualified to write an opinion about it. I hope it's helpful.
I bought our little tikes cozy push and ride car about 2 months ago when my son was 16 months old.I had not gone out with the intention of buying any toy, let alone one as large and expensive as this one.I made the mistake of letting my son loose in the toy section,it was here he spotted the car I lifted him in and pushed him around the store. You can probably guess the rest! When I tried to lift him out he went ridged(as only a very cross toddler can) I gave in and bought the car-well he did have some birthday money and I buy very few new toys so I don't feel like too much of a failure!!
Now for the tecnichal stuff. The car is made of ridged plastic. It has a bright yellow chassis and a red half roof. This model has a removeable parent handle and footrest-this differs from the little tikes cosy coupe 2 which has a full roof and no handle or footrest. There is a squeeky horn and opening petrol cap.The wheels are also made of ridged plastic ,are black and have little red inserts-very stylish! This model is recommended for children aged from 12 months -5 yrs.
The car needs assembling, but even I found this fairly easy. There are several stickers provided to make the car look more realistic. The back wheels are fixed and only the front wheels move. The steering wheel is only for show and does not actually turn the car.The car is propelled by the child taking small walking steps .
My son has played with his car almost every for the past 2 months. It is always a popular choice when friends visit and many fights have started over this one!He loves to eat his mid morning snack sitting in his car too.The parent handle is very helpful as I can take him out for longer rides without hurting my back,A FUN ALTERNATIVE TO HIS BUGGY.The footrest is a great feature and helps keep the drivers feet from getting caught when his boisterous big brother pushes him! The half roof makes lifting a young child in and out easier ,and gives more headroom for an older child.
The car shows no sign of ware despite rarely being stored in the garage.I love toys which encourage outdoor play and this one certainly does that.I think that £50 is good value for a toy which will hopefully last for 4 years and give hours of fun.
Little tikes make a large number of toys all of which appear sturdy. The company is American where safety standards are high.A great buy!

We bought one of these for our youngest's first birthday and it is always the cause of fights between him and his older brother! They absolutely love it - money well spent.
