**********JUNGLE GYM********************
Last year, we knew that it was about time to buy a playgym for our back yard, as my 4 year old daugher loves playgrounds and I couldn't keep taking her there everyday. After looking around many shop's and pricing playgyms up we eventually settled on the Little Tikes Jungle Climber.
***LITTLE TIKES TOYS***
Little Tikes is a name I trust, they make high quality toys which last forever.Little Tikes would always be my first choice for outdoor toys. They make so many different outdoor toys it's hard to chose which one you want, they are so well maded, brightly coloured and very strong.
***DESCRIPTION***
The Little Tikes Jungle Climber is a play-gym that can be used indoors or outside, but it's best to keep it outdoors, as I thing it's way to big to keep in the house. It stands approximately 5½ feet tall, and is just over 6 feet wide in a circular shape. There are 3 walls, with various activities between each of the walls. The entire playgym is made of very, very strong Little Tikes plastic.
The Jungle Climber has bright yellow wall's,Little Tikes calls the colour scheme "Backyard naturals" because the colours are much more muted and natural-looking than your normal, brightly colored child-playground fare.
***THE ACTIVITIES***
The activities are great and keep Hollie-Rose entertained for hours, if it wasn't for the activities I wouldn't of payed so much for this playgym.
* Between the palm trees and the cave walls is a 4 foot blue slide,which is brilliant,with a couple of humps so your children can can a bumpy ride, it is shaped to look like a waterfall. Underneath the bumpy blue slide there is a huge opening through the palm-tree-wall, and a very small opening at the bottom of the cave-wall.
* Between the palm tree and hut walls are a couple of platforms your child can use to climb to the upper-portion of the playgym. The lower platform is molded to look like a bamboo and is brightly coloured orange. The higher platform is gray and looks like rock's. There are some dinosaur footprints molded into the rock-platform which I think is a brilliant idea. An opening at the top platform takes you through the hut wall to another platform. Underneath the top platform is a blue door.
* Between the hut and the cave walls are a variety of things for your children to do. At the top half is a red, wood-plank-looking platform that takes your child from the top-most hut-opening to the opening to go down the slide. Underneath the platform is the space your child enters if they go through the blue spinning door or through the small, cave-like door. A dark blue-green rope-wall goes from the ground to the platform, providing yet another way for your child to get onto the platform, as well as providing a wall for the cave underneath. Also, on the cave wall, is a "talk tube" -- a child on the platform can talk through the tube to another child down in the cave.
***THE WALLS***
The playgyms 3 walls are very cute. Each is molded with a different outdoor jungle theme.
* The rock wall is gray and looks like it is made of stacked boulders. Dinosaur bones are molded into the wall on one side, adding to the cute-factor as well as making it a bit educational.
* The thatched hut wall is a nice tan colour and looks like the woven walls of a hut. There is also some fancy detail around the top door.
* The palm tree wall is a nice deep green colour. Both sides of the wall are covered with huge palm leaves.***THE COLOURS*** The little Tikes jungle climber has attractive colours, they are not pale they are lovely and bright. I should mention that the colours may vary.
***WEIGHT*** Like most Little Tikes toys, the Jungle Climber is very sturdy and durable. With its wide, circular design you don't have to worry about it tipping over with your child on-board, Yet it is also light enough that it can be moved fairly easily, with me just doing my garden, I myself have moved it around plenty of times.
***PUTTING IT TOGETHER*** This was quite a job, the instructions were easy to follow but it just takes some time putting it up and putting all the things together but Still I think you will found that with all toys.It was easier than I expected with a little help from my dad.***CONS*** CON 1................... Many of the platforms do NOT have railings or anything to keep your child from tumbling off , the highest platform is around 3 feet off the ground, which is high enough for children to fall and do some damage, this is why you should never let your child play on the Jungle Climber unattended. Luckly my little girl has yet to take a tumble but my heart jumps out and into my throat everytime she is near the edge, I can't wait till my little boy has a go, he's a little daredevil.
CON 2 ........................ Although the toy is recommended for children aged between 3-8, the openings appear far too small, my little girl is 4 and she has too really duck down to crawl through the rock wall.I don't think she will be going through it by the end of this year.
***PRICE*** Unfortunately, the Jungle Climber is quite expensive. We bought the Jungle climber from index for £129.99 but after a hard long think about it, this will last my children a few years because after Hollie-Rose has out grown it, my little boy (Harrison) can play on it. It is really good value for money.
***QUICK NOTES****
****I don't think you could get the climber home in a car, when we had this delived the box was huge.
****The manufacturer recommends the Jungle Climber for children aged 3-8 years. A child-limit of 4 children is recommended.
****To keep it clean, just wipe it down with a wet cloth. I just use an old tea-towel.

Hollie-Rose love's her jungle gym, at first all she was interested in was the blue slide, she did has a slide before but it wasn't bumpy like this one. After a few weeks, she would climb up the platforms and climb down the net really slowly, and find out about other things about the gym. But now, she climbs all over the gym quickly, this really doe's keep her entertained.
My experience........................
I think the jungle gym is great, of course I have had a few goe's on it, even the slide but I couldn't fit in the openings ( it must be my fat bum). The platform had lot's of space for me to move about on and was really strong.I'm very impressed.
***OVERALL***
Overall, I'm quite pleased with the Jungle Climber, my little girl loves it and I can't wait still my son has a go.(when the weather gets a bit warmer.) The fun activities are really cute and are maded really well, with the cute little details in the design. I do have some concerns about the safety of some aspects, and would recommend never leaving your child unattended with the Jungle Climber.
