When she wants to play with it I can give it a quick hose down to get rid of the accumulated dirt, dry it off and put it in the living room.
It`s very colourful, in ... ...love it. It also has wide steps that are ridged to give them a better balance and stop them from slipping off, and there are only three of them that are spaced close together so it`s not too much of an uphill treck.
The main slide itself curves upwards at the edges, so there`s no danger of them toppling off halfway down. For extra safety, the top of the steps are shaped into large handles so they can get to grips with the top properly ... more
My youngest monster has reached the dreaded climbing stage. If it`s any higher than a foot then it has to be climbed on. To save my sanity and my furniture I took her to the local park during the summer and she fell in love with the slide. The only problem now is, that being winter my garden is like a muddy swamp and I don`t really want her playing in it.

It`s very colourful, in bright yellow, blue and pink so most little people will love it. It also has wide steps that are ridged to give them a better balance and stop them from slipping off, and there are only three of them that are spaced close together so it`s not too much of an uphill treck.

I love the way this slide is designed especially for the toddler age, there are no sharp edges or corners, everything is rounded and smooth and all nuts are covered by rounded plastic covers, even these are bright pink as well.
It comes flat packed in a box but doesn`t take any longer than 15 minutes to put together, and because the bottom of the steps are a fair bit wider than the bottom of the slide then it`s more stable than the bigger slides. Underneath the main slide there is also a plug, so if you want to make it extra sturdy then you can fill it with sand. I have omitted from doing this though as I know that the sand would not remain inside the slide once my brats found the plug.
For ages 1½ to 4yrs, this makes the perfect first slide for any child, and at the price of only £19 from shops like Argos and Index it`s pretty cheap as well.

...nearly as sturdy as the Little Tikes one I have, nor as adaptable, because the beauty of the Little Tikes slide is that it can be used both in and outdoors. The solid construction, in fact, has made it more of a lasting toy, because the children can be more adventurous with it, sliding down on their knees or running, with little risk of it toppling over.
I know of nothing else that has lasted so well and appealed to so many children as this toy. ...

We have a Little Tikes slide that has been in our family for almost 15 years now. That's right I said 15 years. I purchased it way back in 1987 when my oldest son was just learning to walk. Today it has survived through both my sons, my sisters son, and now her 2 year old daughter is enjoying it. The plastic molding is all safely smooth and rounds without any sharp points that could harm a child or clothing. There are 3 steps leading up to the top platform with each step being about 8 inches apart, so even a toddler can easily climb the steps. Little tikes slides are suitable for indoor and outdoor play, so there was the answer to grandads birthday present, so off we went to the local toy shop too see what we could find.
Little tykes slides come in several different sizes and colours. The 2 that we came across were the "Large Slide" and the "Junior Slide".

Both of the little tykes slides are made from hard durable plastic and are easy to wipe down. All of the edges are rounded so there will be no accidents with any sharp edges. The steps up to the slide have grooves on them for grip so that the child does not slip when climbing. And all of the bolts used to build the slide have plastic covers so that the child can't get to them.
