Little Tikes Tap a Tune Piano

One of the toys my daughter received for her second birthday was this little tikes piano. It costs around £10 from argos but it was included in a music gift set that contained a drum and some rattles.

It is made of durable plastic and very well mad as I have found all little tikes toys are. It has 4 keys at the front of the toy which are each a different colour blue green yellow and orange. On top of the toy are the chimes which are connected to the keys and these all have the same colours on them.

The toy itself is quite chunky but not too big so that little one can pick it up and move it around themselves. It has been dropped so many time by all 3 of my children and still there is no scratch or any apparent mark to the toy. It is easy to be cleaned a quick wipe with a cloth and it comes up nicely from sticky fingers.

The keys are very light and easy to press. They can be pressed down separately or together and each one plays a different key. The sound is more xylophone rather than a piano but all the same it is not loud but loud enough to keep the child interested.

Age range recommendation is 2+ apparently from the box we received it in but I tend to disagree. My son used it from around 6 months knowing he had to hit the keys to make sound. There are no small parts so there is no danger for younger children. My eldest boy just about to turn 4 also loves to have a go on this piano he loves performing to us all his latest song.
