While in town I was approached by a woman asking if I would be interested in applying for a Littlewoods catalogue, after a short conversation with her I decided to apply for it,
She took a few details from me such as name, date of birth and address etc, she give me a leaflet which entitled me to £15 of my first order and advised me that the catalogue should arrive within a few days.
Other ways you can obtain a Littlewoods catalogue is to give them a call, go to their website or a friends recommendation.
Two days later I found the catalogue on my doorstep, I had a nosey through it and decided that I would like to order some stuff from the book.
Placing an order
So now I had a few ways to make my first order I could either give them a call, fill out the order form, or go online, so being my lazy self I went on to their website and filled out a few personal details and within a few seconds I was able to place my first order.
The website
The Littlewoods website is easy to navigate, at the top of the page there are five Sections which are as follows;
My account Your account information can be view here, details such as your credit limit, how much you have to spend and how much you have already spent.
Track order Here you can view your order information
Quick order If you know the catalogue numbers of the item that you wish to purchase then you can type them in and place your order more quickly
Help if you have any difficulties using the site
Login or register needless to say this is where you log in
Below this there are more sections such as women, men, children, sports etc so it is quite easy to find what you are looking for and of course you could just refer to the catalogue.
Ordering from the website is easy, all you need to do is find the item you wish to order, choose how many weeks you wish to spread the cost over and add the item to your basket, once you have finished you then proceed to the checkout and confirm your order, then you should receive and email with your order details.
The catalogue
The catalogue is pretty much the same as the website it is split into sections which makes it simple to find what you're looking for, however personally I prefer looking through the catalogue as you can see the pictures bigger than on the website.
Prices
Like with all catalogues it is slightly more expensive than shopping on the high street, also some items in the book are reasonably priced and others are not so reasonable, but spreading the cost makes life a lot easier.
Spreading the cost of your order
You can spread the cost of your order over 20 weeks or 38 weeks interest free, or for larger items you can choose to spread the cost over 50 weeks, 100 weeks or even 150 weeks, however if you choose this option then interest will be charged.
Delivery
Their delivery times are very quick, I placed my last order on Saturday 15 November and it had arrived by Monday, sometimes it might take slightly longer depending on what items you have ordered.
How to pay
There are a few ways to make a payment, you can either pay at the post office or you can pay online at the Littlewoods website, personally I prefer to pay online by direct debit as I tend to be forgetful.
Arranging a return
Again there are a few ways to do this, you wrap up the item in the original packaging and take it to the post office or for bigger items you can ring up Littlewoods and they will send someone to collect the item, all returns are free of charge.
Statements
Statements are sent every four weeks detailing what you should pay, payments received and your outstanding balance etc.
Conclusion
So far I have not had any problems with Littlewoods, they deliver very quickly and I have never had to return any goods, so I will continue to shop with Littlewoods and would highly recommend them.
