I have recently purchased a car from a Honda dealership in Inverness, part of the Macrea and Dick chain and thought I would share my experience with you. The car review is else where on the site.
First impressions...
I started off as most of us do at the cardealers, walking round the forecourt looking at the cars, peering in the windows and wishing i had more money!!! At other garages i have visited lately, i would have been jumped on the moment i got out of my car to look round, not here though. There were of course salesmen keeping an eye on me from inside the building, but i was allowed the time to look about and talk with the girlfriend about what we liked and so on. Only when we had stopped and stayed looking at one car did some one come out to see us. The salesman was smartly dressed, no scrumples or creases in his jacket ...

of spending weekends trailing around garages looking for the right motor only to find it was already sold or had body damage etc. This happy mood did not last long after I had my first dealing with Minories Hondadealer in Gateshead next to the Metrocentre.
Sitting in the corner covered in muck was a Breeze blue Corsa. The state of the car did not bother me, as I knew it would clean up nice because after all it was only 6-7 months old. I was asked if the salesman could help me, and off we went. First off all I wanted to know the price of the vehicle and off we went to talk about the car.
At this start I was only interested in three questions until my wife saw the car.
Mileage?
Was the Vauxhall warranty and breakdown cover still valid for the remained of the three years?
And the most important the price?
I had previously been into ...

Advantages: Non... Disadvantages: Customer service, payment system, ruined start of your holiday..
We had a terrible experience with Goldcar in ALICANTE, spent 3 hours at their desk, always being dumped because of a customer behind us as if we were not customers ?! We booked a car from Goldcar online (using their Dealer "AutoEurope"), then when we arrived we had to pay the the fuel deposit. We had a VISA credit card and they tried using it and said it doesn't go through. We didn't have another credit card, they don't accept cash. But we used this card a ay ago for online shopping and t was working fine, never had issues with it before. We rang our bank, it said everything is fine with the card and they don't see that anyone would have been trying to charge it (Goldcar). Which means that there was something wrong with Goldcar's card processing system.. Then we were told to ring Autoeurope as they were the one's we dealt ...
