Advantages: No overseas commission, competitive APR, Good balance transfer offer, no hidden charges, Disadvantages: Not the most competitive on the market but good for holiday spending

Admittedly the card has not got the most "competitive" APR on the market with Egg at 0% but it is still only 15.9% plus an offer on balance transfers making it well worth it, and also as theres no annual fee it doesn't even matter if I use it once a year for my hols as I won't have paid anything anyway.

Liverpool Victoria have tightened their security measures recently, but they are now rejecting requests for payment from legitimate companies that they have paid previously.
I only took the card initially to save £25 on my car insurance (they had an offer of £25 back if you applied for a card and paid for the insurance with it). Once I'd got it I decided to keep it for internet payments. I never use it for anything else and I never use another card ... ...they are streets ahead of Liverpool Victoria who provide precious few benefits.
If you want to know about interest rates you should look elsewhere because I always clear the balance every month so it wouldn't bother me if it was 80%. If you clear the balance before the due date there is no interest charged. I have written this opinion merely to draw your attention to certain aspects of the card that probably won't be mentioned in other opinions, ...

The fact that Liverpool Victoria don't charge commission on Euro purchases has been mentioned here already. What doesn't appear to have been acknowledged is that Liv Vic is the only card I have found which applies the money you pay each month to the highest interest-bearing items first. That is to say, if you make a 0% balance transfer to the account and then purchase items, you can pay off the purchase amounts each month and not incur interest, ... ...the transferred balance. I don't know why other cards don't do it this way, because it encourages customers to use the card, rather than have it for the period of the 0% offer and then bin it!
Now all they need to do is give cash back rather than money off insurance products and they've got a winner!

Whenever I present my Frizell/LiverpoolVictoriacreditcard at the till, the staff doublecheck and then tell me how nice my card is, it seems sunflowers brighten everyones day. I turned down the opportunity to have my photo lazer scanned on the back, but this excellent security feature ensures that no-one but you can use the card. So bog off card theives, however to choose a card simply because it has a pretty picture on the front would be silly. I chose the Frizell card because the rate is incredibly low and the staff are the most polite courteous people I have ever dealt with over the phone.
Once you start using your card you will recive points redeemeable for money off insurance products or gifts from a frizzel catalouge, this is highlighted on a straightforward easy to read bill once a month.
