?LivingHistory? was launched as an independent title in 2003, and earlier this year it merged with ?BBC History Magazine?, which was launched in 2000. Both titles were broadly similar, though ?LH? concentrated on British history, with a hands-on approach, encouraging readers to go out and see the places and sites dealt with in the articles. While some of that has been assimilated into the new title, overall the magazine now has a more global slant.
While it?s not what you might call a ?world history? journal, it does cover overseas territories, often with a partly British theme. For example, the current issue (October 2004) has articles on the Black Death and how it spread over Europe to Britain; the Dogger Bank incident, or ?Russian outrage? of October 1904, when a nervous Russian fleet opened fire by mistake on British ...

The past fascinates us. on television in recent years one has watched families experience life in the Bronze Age, in the 1900s house or the frontier house. if this is too passive one can visit a heritage site ranging from everyday viking life at Yorvik viking centre in York to the home front in the second world war at Eden camp also in Yorkshire. if one really wants they can join the sealed knot society and fight in a civil war battle or join the society for the creative anachronism and take on a mediaeval persona to attend a mediaeval feast in mediaeval costume and eat mediaeval food from mediaeval recipes the demand for this obsession with the past has created a magazine livinghistory. the magazine published by origins publishing and has features on most aspects and eras of history and heritage, but the emphasis is on visiting ...

Clinton Cards is, currently the largest retailer in cards and gift wrapping products...etc in the UK. It was founded in the 60's in Essex but now has over 700 shops in the Uk especially since it bought out The Birthdays Group. The largest branch is in Leeds and measures a massive 10,750 square feet spread across two floors. This is in the Guiness Book of Records as being the largest Greeting Card Store in the world
Cl inton Cards is predominantly a greeting card shop and therefore stocks an enormous amount of greeting cards for every conceivable occasion They are continually trying to cover cards for every thing imaginable I was suprised when I noticed from another review that apparently they even stock wedding cards for same sex marriages, obvious when you think about it logically but not something I would have thought of myself ...

Manufacturer's product description
One of the most intelligent and influential women in America reflects on her eight years as First Lady of the United States in a revealing book - personal political and newsmaking. During her husband's two administrations Hillary Rodham Clinton redefined the position of First Lady. How this intensely private woman not only survived but prevailed is the dramatic tale of her book. Hillary Clinton shares the untold story of her White House years and recalls the challenging process by which she came to define herself as a wife a mother and a formidable politician in her own right. Mrs Clinton was the first First Lady who played a direct role in shaping domestic policy; she was an unofficial ambassador for human rights and democracy around the world; and she helped save the Presidency during the impeachment crisis.
