Living Nature is a New Zealand company, making products from the finest New Zealand flora and fauna: over 80% of New Zealand's plants are found nowhere else in the world. They were one of the first skincare companies to produce skincare without using synthetic ingredients, and also refuse to use parabens and alcohol. The packing is 100% recyclable.
The Living Nature Lip Balm features shea butter to give you gorgeously smooth lips, and Manuka honey.Active Manuka honey is used widely in modern health care, and is reknowned for its benefits as a wound treatment due to the special anti-bacterial qualities it posesses.
The subtle tube has an applicator tip, and I find it to be nicely angled to give a smooth and even application; no glugging around the edges or missed spots. The texture is smooth and velvety, and there is no stickiness or 'glam' feeling about it. You know this is just a pure, natural, good thing for your lips! A quick rub of the lips gets the balm into all the creases and your lips feel instatly moistened.
The moisture lasts well, and there is no tightness or stretching of the lips. It is especially good for the cold winter months, particularly considering any cracking will benefit from the Manuka honey and lack of manmade products in this balm. From a practical point of view, once you've smudged your lips together, lip stick or a gloss can easily be worn over the top, with the balm providing protection from any harsh ingredients in the products.
Do be warned however, that there is no sunscreen in this lip balm. The best thing you could ever do for your lips is to keep them protects from the harmful UV rays.
