"...watching reruns of it on Living when I was over at his flat. So let me convert YOU now! THE PREMISE Will Trueman and Grace Addler live together, know one another inside out, and get on fantastically well. In any other sitcom, a couple like this would have a will-they-won't-they? type scenario going on (for example, the Ross-Rachel ongoing saga in Friends, or Carrie/Big in Sex and the City). But it is clear pretty much from the start that ..." Read review

You'll Have a Gay Ol' Time With Will and Grace

AdvantagesWitty, cleverly written and constantly humorous

DisadvantagesGay theme may put off some

"...unnoticed on the cable channel, Living (hence its inception in the Living category and not yet on Channel 4). Now, Channel 4 execs have realised that, with Friends coming to a close next year, another sitcom would be needed to fill its primetime Friday night slot. So, 4 weeks ago, the first series of Will and Grace was thrust onto our screens at 9.30 following the new series of Friends. Quite unbelievably (to me anyway!) it was amusing me and making ..." hey quit staring and just read the bloody thing

Advantagesvery funny

Disadvantagesonly lasts for half an hour

"...whilst over here on the Living channel we are only on the 2nd and channel 4 have only recently started showing it so they are on the 1st series. Will has just come out of a long term relationship and so has Grace and they are now both single. After a lot of convincing and a guilty concience Will takes Grace in as a flat mate and this is where the fun really starts to begin. Apart from Will & Grace there are other very funny 'sub' characters, so ..." Read review

Will you Grace it with your presence

AdvantagesGreat, funny characters

DisadvantagesOne-liners might get on your nerves

"...It's kind of like me living with my best friend- over exposure does your head in and you start to find the characters shallow and selfish! It might also seem strange that a show featuring a gay man as the main character is so popular in a country renouned for its hostility towards the gay population, but this stems from the fact that it presents homosexuality in a way that appears sanitised (for example, Will rarely seems to actually have sex and ..." My Best Friends object of Afection

AdvantagesVery witty and Quick, Fairly unusual premise and characters

DisadvantagesNot enough of it, bit repetitive and limited

"Will & Grace It is an American comedy now in it’s fourth season which I disliked intensely at first because I was worried about it “replacing” Friends. I needn’t have worried. Friends has nearly run it’s course, but being a big fan of it I didn’t really take to the newcomer very well. In fact I didn’t watch it at all. But because I heard such good things about it, how it was topping the ratings I thought ..." Read review
