I have been using Cleanse and Polish for at least 10 years now. I was getting a bit bored of having teenage skin when I was reaching my late teens and saw Liz Earle on QVC talking about her cleanser. I had been through so many that were either so astringent that your skin dried out and fell off or they left residue on your skin, clogging it up and making it look dull. So I thought I would give Cleanse and Polish a try.
Cleanse and Polish is applied straight to dry skin and then removed using a muslin cloth and hot water (flowed by cold water), gently exfoliating your skin every time you use it. It removes make-up, including mascara, with ease and leaves skin clean and refreshed.
I have found it to balance, as well as smooth, my skin. It dramatically reduced the amount of spots that I was getting and gave me back control of my skin. Obviously hormones cause the occasional pimple, but as the rest of my skin is clear and bright, they barely worry me.
The regaining control of my skin was a major factor in my continued use and the new appearance of my skin improved my confidence dramatically. On the odd occasion when I have run out, or forgotten to take it with me, and have had to use another cleanser, my skin definitely suffers.
The price for a 200 ml tube is £20. Although this may seem expensive at first, a little goes a long way and a tube easily lasts more than one month. Products are available from www.lizearle.com or from the Union Shop, 22 Union Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight, PO33 2DT or from Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare, 53 Duke of York Square, King's Road, London, SW3 4LY. I have used both the web site and the London shop and would highly recommend them both. You receive a free gift with each purchase (from the Liz Earle range) and a loyalty scheme is in place that earns a larger gift after a certain amount of purchases.
This Cleanser also came out top in the 21st Century Beauty Bible, where products are tested and voted on by testers in their own homes (i.e. by regular people! I, myself, have been a tester before), and received the highest marks for a product ever.
Personally I prefer the tube format rather than the pump, as I find it dispenses more easily and you can make use of practically everything within the tube. I often cut the end off once it appears empty to make sure I get the entire product. I feel a bit short changed with the pump (it's impossible to open).
I would recommend this product to anyone with skin problems, it definitely helped me.
