I first heard about Liz Earle when watching Channel 4's 'How to Look Good Naked and one of the products, Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser was mentioned. My cleanser wasn't overly brilliant so thought i'd give this one a go. After seeing the effects of how brilliant this product was i decided to try some other products which leads me to write this review first of all of a product that's called Superbalm.
Firstly what's the website like? Very easy to navigate. If you've never used it before the easiest option is to select 'Skincare Experts' from the top menu bar and then select 'Know Your Skin. This takes you to a screen where you select the problem areas you may have for your skin and at the end it gives you all the best products for you. This is what i did and am SO glad i did!
You can also just select the type of product you may be after such as cleanse or tone and if you've used them before you can go back to your order history and re-order the same things again making it quicker to replenish your products.
There are also customer feedback to go with every product and lots of information on each one so you know exactly what your getting for your money.
So what is it? Superbalm is described as an emergency balm that nourishes, calms and restores any areas of dry skin aswell as lips, nails and cuticles.
What's in it? All the Liz Earle products contain natural ingredients and i believe having used the products for a couple of months now that this is the secret to these working and being in my opinion the best products i've ever used. You will have heard of almost (if not) all the ingredients so none of these chemical names you see on every other product. In superbalm you'll find:
How much is it? There are two options for this product. You can either get 30g for £13.50 or 5g for £4.
All there products come in various sies and i've always started with the smallest to ensure it works for me and i like it. I love that they offer smaller sizes as i've wasted so much money on products in the past i haven't liked and been left with lots of left over products.
The packaging I purchased the 5g pot. It comes beautifully handwrapped in lovely tissue paper as do all their products which i think is a lovely touch. Inside was a small silver pot with the Liz Earle logo on the lid. The bottom says on it 'Superbalm, massage daily into lips, nails and cuticles to nourish and strengthen'
The product Inside the pot is is a bright yellow coloured balm which has a lovely smell to it (i think it's the beeswax you can smell and smells very natural) You rub your finger across the top and it melts slightly as it gets warm onto your finger. As soon as you apply it to lips they feel lovely and soft and it leaves them with a nice glossy finish.
The Verdict After only about 3 days using this throughout the day my lips look softer and feel softer. It's a lovely product to wear and isn't greasy and doesnt taste horrible. Its also the perfect size to keep with you at work, when your out for the day or to pop in your bag or pocket.
I haven't yet tried it anywhere other than my lips but from reading other customer feedback on the site it looks like everyones been impressed with the results wherever they've used it from nails to keeping frizzy hair at bay!
The product may seem a little pricey but a little really does go a very long way so they last ages and compared to what i've paid for other brands that haven't worked i consider this money very well spent.

...am a firm devotee of Liz Earle products and one of her most popular items is the Superbalm. This is a jar of luxurious clear solution which goes on like a cream, but isn't one - if you see what I mean. It's very hard to try and describe how it is in the jar but I suppose it is like a balm, as the name says.
It's full of the usual Liz Earle natural ingredients such as echinacea, natural source vitamin E, aloe vera, essential oils and smells heavenly.
... ...but it does last a long time. It can be bought through QVC - The Shopping Channel, or at Browns Department Store in London. Liz has recently set up a website too, and you can order any Liz Earle products on here. The address is: www.lizearle.com ...

liz earle superbalm is one of the best multi purpose balms on the market as it can do anything from moisturising the lips and cuticles and treating scar tissue to helping tame dry frizzy hair or even if its just a bit 'flyaway' it will quickly smooth it down.
not only is it a terrific moisturising,healing,soothing product the fragrance is heavenly as they are all natural essential oils and not synthetic.
the ingredients included are:
neroli,lavender,dog ... ...and calming on the skin.
it can be used on any skin type even oily as it will balance sebum secretions.
this product is so gentle it can be used on a babys delicate skin.
this product is safe to use during pregnancy.
truly a wonderful product everyone should own.give it a try you wont be dissapointed.

The Verdict
Soft, supple hands that smell really good. After using this daily i'm finding my hands are staying softer longer than they have after using any other product. As soon as you apply it your hands feel very silky and soft and it absorbs quickly without feeling sticky or greasy.The small tube lasted me about a month using at least twice daily so it does last. I liked it that much i have just purchased the 50ml tube.

...,every day i am SO impressed. My skin is looking so much more healthy and constantly feels soft. This product has lasted me a month and a half so have just re-purchased. It could probably last me longer the second time around as i now realise you don't need a lot at all as it spreads far so i should get more usage from it.
It may seem a bit pricey but the results have been fantastic.

...fab! The size i received is perfect for taking with you on the move and just spray your face when you want an instant refreshed look like you've just applied your make up. It doesn't smudge make up at all it just gives skin a boost and makes it look awake and fresh.
