March 20 2006, the reminder on my PDA is ringing. Yes!!! Time to renew my car insurance!!! I started browsing around. Obvious choice was internet. I had a few quotes from different insurers and selected my favourite one.
As my cover is due for renewal on 14.04.06 I decided to wait for new quote from current insurer which is MoreThan. They have sent me the renewal last week, great! Staying with them would save me over £100, lovely, isn't it? Of course not! The other quotes from other companies were saying different story. Most of them were more generous than MoreThan.
The best (the cheapest) quote I got was from Lloyd TSB Car Insurance. It was, of course, fully comprehensive with claims legal Assistance Services. I didn't go for Recovery with them as I was planning to renew my contract wit RAC, so I did. It was saving me £291 (!!!) in comparison with MoreThan.
I phoned MoreThan and said: Thank you for your cooperation but… No fuss, no problems. Good. I was even sent a letter about my No Claims Bonus, which was required by new insurer.
Finally I decided to buy my new insurance from Lloyds TSB. But browsing the internet couple of months ago, I discovered www.greasypalm.co.uk witch is another site were you save some money when buying all sort of things. Lucky guess, would have Lloyds TSB products available? Sure, they did. I was able to get £40 cash back for buying my Lloyds car insurance through the web site, total saving over MoreThan £331!!! Gave it a go.
Today (27.03.2006) I got my new insurance through the post with all documents, and leaflets, and contact details. I'm very happy with the new cover and the fact that it was over £300 cheaper that the same cover by someone else.
Thank you for reading and Good luck
