Advantages:
I can check my balance or whether a payment has gone out without leaving the house . I can also set up a full months bill payments in one go .
Disadvantages:

I have used the lloyds tsb online banking service for about 18 months and find it wonderful. I signes up online and was given a number to ring to get my account no. I was asked 2 questions about recent transactions which I could not answer as they had been done by my husband that same day so I had to wait for a letter to take to the bank to prove who I was. I wasn't happy about this at the time but can see why these checks need to be made. My number arrived a few days later and I have never looked back. I do all my bill payments online, print out statements and transfer money between my accounts. I can check how much is in my account anytime which saves unnecessary journeys into town if I am waiting for a cheque to clear. I can also check up on who is authorised to take money out of my account(direct debit or standing orders). The only thing I would like to do which I can't is actually print out the money as I find it annoying that I can do so much online but still have to travel into town to withdraw cash!(If anyone knows of a bank with this facility please let me know)
