I am finishing my list with a great track from The Killers. 'Smile Like You Mean It' is just a song I fell in love with from first hearing it. I can't help but sing along to it (and have been caught singing this in my car at the traffic lights!).
I really like The Killers, and this track was taken from the brilliant 'Hot Fuss' album in 2005.

A couple of summer's ago, my husband gutted our old kitchen and put me in a nice new one with all the mod cons, including my new halogen hob! He told me I needed to be careful when cleaning it and the maufacturer's instruction for cleaning recommended Hob Brite, by Homecare.
I tootled off to Tesco and found it very easily, in with the rest of the household cleaning products. It cost at the time about £1.25 but it's since gone up in price a little and the last bottle I bought cost me £1.39 from Sainsbury's - the bottle contains 300ml, and to my knowledge does not come in any different sizes.
The first time I used my new hob I'd cooked us all a spaghetti bolognese and there were a few splashes of sauce sprinkled over the hob. I left the hob to cool down before I attempted to clean it, as directed on the bottle's instructions ...

My Top Ten Singles
It's a long time since I was a regular buyer of singles and even then it didn't take me long to realise that they were pretty poor value for money when for little more than twice the price you could usually buy the whole album. In spite of this I seem to have built up quite a collection of singles. A lot of this is due to my family; my brothers and sisters are well spread out in age and it seemed to be the done thing for them to leave their singles (unfortunately not their albums) behind when they moved out. As the youngest I was therefore left with an eclectic mix of singles dating back to the mid sixties. I've got my oldest sister's Beatles and Stones singles, my brother's collection of Black Sabbath and glam rock and my other sister's Police and Blondie offerings amongst many other oddities.
