Churchwood Financial= Disgraceful

Advantages: none
Disadvantages: poorer by £395. And no nearer to being debt free.

After being told by these people that I qualified for a debt management plan, I was told to cancel direct debits and change my bank. all of which I did. then I was asked for my bank account details (and silly me) gave it to them. The fee for their services was £395, although they did not tell me this. I was told that I would get a pack by post and there would be a guiro paying in slip for me to pay into their account. ...my account. since then I have not been able to talk to anyone about this. they put you on hold then hang up. if you do manage to talk to someone, they say we will ring you back. but never do. Three months on I am no nearer to solving my debt problems and find myself in a worse situation. I really think this company should be investigated, after reading other reviews, seems like Im not the only one. They are supposed to help the less well off. not ...

...and advice, i was recommended Tesco loans, and apprehensively tried them, applied online, which was pretty straightforward and easy, was given a call by Tesco confirming my application was agreed in principle, 4 days later received a confirmation pack from them, i signed the forms and sent my most recent bank statement as requested. 3 days later, the money was in my account! Disgusted and cannot believe this is allowed

Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Pay back more than double what you borrow and worthless insurance

...said they'd give me loan. HFC suddenly said they'd kindly reduce APR from 25.9. My bank then didn't give loan. On hearing this HFC amazingly couldn't reduce rate anymore. I had to seek debt payment plan. All other creditors froze interest. HFC doubled £9,997 I owed them. Yes it's my fault I'm in debt etc but this is nigh on theft. Debt chasers call unaware of agreement at all hours. Obviously the one you give details too in day shift doesnt change ...
