Technology with style is what this stunning range of televisions from Premium Manufacture Loewe is all about. Finding a TV that fits in with your decor is no longer a problem, these sets are availlable in five different colours with 12 different trim options ensuring it can blend with it's enviroment.

In my opinion, your local Loewe dealer is your best friend when it comes to making sure that you buy the right product. These sets are so simple to use in a day to day enviroment that it's childs play, but if you need it to do more it can. There are many options available to the tech savvy consumer such as DR+, Media Capability, Sat Capability and dolby digital processing. For my money, I purchased the DR+ variant and opted to have the media upgrade fitted too. DR+ gives the TV a hard drive with recording capability, this makes recording your freeview programs an absolute breeze and also provides the capability to pause and rewind live TV. All this is acheived using the clear and concise buttons at the bottom of the remote control (which is a masterpiece in itself). Because of the Indivduals twin tuner layout, the set will record one channel while you watch another.

The media kit is new for 2009 and will only fit certain variants (this is where your dealer is important!). This upgrade gives the unit dnla capabilities which translated, means you can stream (play) your music , videos or display photos from your PC or laptop via your home network. It also gives you direct access to 1000's of internet radio stations (broadband internet required) still all accessed easily from the remote control.

Obviously it's not much of a review without mentioning the picture and sound performance. And what a performance. I looked long and hard before parting with my cash and it is my opinion that these sets are in a different league totally than the rest of the products on the market. Forget the likes of Sony, Philips and the main brands, the picture quality on this is nothing short of awesome. What isn't obvious from the advertising literature is this set unlike (as far as I am aware) all other LCD TVs on the market has a glass contrast filter over the front of the screen. This (in my opinion) helps mellow the picture, taking away the glariness that other LCDs all suffer from. The pictures are incredably life like and detailed.

Sound is not compromised either. The stereo speaker at the bottom of the set delivers exceptionaly detailed sound. The high frequencies are pin sharp, the bass is nice and tight and on my trusted Swordfish DVD the detail in the explosion scene at the beginning is amazing.

All in all I truly belive this is a magnificent product. It stands out from the crowd alongside Bang & Olufsen but offers more punch for alot less money. That said it's still not cheap with prices starting from £2700. Be aware of internet dealers selling old stock. Always go to your closest dealer and have a chat.
