Advantages: Cheap, good quality surround sound speakers Disadvantages: Alot of cables and has been known to have some minor sound level problems
This Logic3 surround system is a brilliant piece of kit, for relatively little money compared to other brands this entry level speaker set gives as good as any other system. The set consists of 5 speakers with clear instructions on how to set up and where to place the 5 speakers and subwoofer speaker for optimum 5.1 surround sound performance.
There is also a trendy digital control station which clearly shows the volume, if all the speakers ... ...mode it is currently on. The sound quality is very clear and I have my system connected to my PC and Xbox 360, however if you want surround sound on the PC you will need a surround sound card which are relatively cheap, the Xbox 360 on the other hand fully supports 5.1 dolby digital surround and you will immediately notice the difference from playing it off the TV, you will be able to tell what direction enemies are coming from and they really help ... more
This Logic3 surround system is a brilliant piece of kit, for relatively little money compared to other brands this entry level speaker set gives as good as any other system. The set consists of 5 speakers with clear instructions on how to set up and where to place the 5 speakers and subwoofer speaker for optimum 5.1 surround sound performance. There is also a trendy digital control station which clearly shows the volume, if all the speakers are connected, what input is being used and the sound mode it is currently on. The sound quality is very clear and I have my system connected to my PC and Xbox 360, however if you want surround sound on the PC you will need a surround sound card which are relatively cheap, the Xbox 360 on the other hand fully supports 5.1 dolby digital surround and you will immediately notice the difference from playing it off the TV, you will be able to tell what direction enemies are coming from and they really help build up suspense in the scary sections of films and games. In the 2 years I have had these speakers there has been the occasional problem on certain games where the sound levels aren't outputted correctly, for example and characters voice will be drowned out by background music, but when this occurs its best to just switch to 3 speaker mode for a bit and remember just how much of a bargain they really are. The remote control is very good and runs off 2 AAA batteries and I'm still using the ones that came in the box, the remote allows you to change volume, which input to use (from a choice of Coaxial, optical and line in) and how to output the sound: eg, theatre mode, stadium mode. The remote also controls sound levels and allows you to set up the system according to your surroundings. One negative point I must raise is that there is an awful lot of cable as each speaker cable is about 4m's long and the subwoofer and control station both require a separate power supply.
I would really recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a cheap set to use for their next-gen games console or who enjoys listening to music as you can get some seriously good bass and treble sound out of the speakers with a max volume of +10dcB. I can guarantee you will not be disappointed with the overall quality.
