Packaging and Accessories
The Logick keyboard comes in a cardboard box, the box is quite weak and thin but because i picked it up in a shop delivery wasnít an issue. The keyboard itself comes in a plastic bag which also helps to protect the keyboard. Other than the keyboard the only other thing is a leaflet that tells you about the keyboard and another leaflet that shows you what all the buttons do. The Packaging isnít that great but itís a cheap keyboard and so I wasnít expecting brilliant packaging.
The keyboard is mainly made out of a soft plastic that looks and feels quite cheap. The build of the keyboard is actually quite good, the keyboard is relatively strong and the feet that are used to raise the keyboard up of a desk are also quite strong too, however the keyboard doesnít look to good and it feels cheap. The colours on the keyboard also look washed out and the silver-grey paint on the keyboard also makes the keyboard look cheap.
The buttons on the keyboard are all very good and responsive accept some incidents where Iíve had to retype one or two letters because it didnít register them. The keyboard comes with the standard QWERTY keyboard setup which is expected on all keyboards. The keyboard also includes all the function buttons found above the number buttons. The keyboard has the usual screen lock and other buttons found on the right side of the keyboard. A number pad is also found on the right of the keyboard which is a nice addition as some keyboards donít include them. The keyboard also includes an extra three buttons on the right which can power off and wake up your computer.
A cool feature about this keyboard is that it is a multimedia keyboard and so it includes many other buttons that are used to turn up the volume, load up the internet and do many other things. These buttons come in very handy and are quite easy to learn after a while. I donít use them much but they donít take up much space and they can be useful because they are shortcuts so they saved quite a bit of time.
One thing that I donít like about the keyboard is that apart from the feet that stand up to raise the keyboard there are also some rubber feet that are supposed to stop the keyboard from sliding but unfortunately they do not wok that well. Sometimes the keyboard has moved when I have been typing and Iíve clicked the wrong button which can become a nuisance. Sometimes the rubber feet stop the keyboard from slipping but overall they arenít that effective.
Another thing that isnít such a bad thing but can be annoying is that when you click a button on the keyboard it is very loud and so you can make quite a lot of noise by just typing up some work, on the upside least you know that you have clicked the button. The actual QWERTY buttons are raised slightly which can make cleaning much harder because dust and other things can easily be trapped under the buttons. The buttons also have a bit of flex to them which isnít a bad thing sometimes but sometimes the buttons move and they look and feel like they are going to break. The setup of the keyboard is very quick and simple.
The keyboard is a usb keyboard that can easily plug into any usb port on your computer and once you have plugged it in it will be recognized and in a short amount of time the computer will recognize the keyboard and you are good to go.
My Overall Thoughts
Overall I donít think that this keyboard is that bad a keyboard but you can tell that is a cheap keyboard. It looks and feels quite cheap and the rubber feet donít work that well and also the keyboard is very loud when you are typing. The build quality isnít that good either with the keys feeling cheap and can move quite easily. The other thing I donít like is that the keys are raised quite a bit and so dust and other things can get underneath the keys and this can cause them to be unresponsive also the keyboard is quite hard to clean if things do get underneath the keys. Overall the keys are responsive though, there are some very good multimedia buttons and the keyboard isnít that expensive and so I think for the price it isnít bad at all really. It could be improved, maybe with a better plastic and different colours that donít look washed out but for me the keyboard works and it was worth the money. I would recommend if you are looking for a cheap keyboard but if you want a better keyboard look elsewhere. This is a cheap keyboard and it isnít bad but you get what you pay for.
3 out of 5 stars
