I purchased the ClickSmart 510 in June 2002 in the USA for $110. At the time I was only experimenting with Webcams and Video for the web. I never expected to get as much use from the camera as I have.
It is a relatively light weight camera, initially useful as a webcam. The webcam stand and USB Cable is provided as well as a few very good software products. Its unusual lens and casing shape can be awkward to store or place in your pocket.
The menu on the camera when selecting mode or quality can be annoying as it may skip over your desired option and you have to cycle through the options again. It takes 4 x AAA batteries and they last a good length of time. I would recommend rechargables to save some money.
As a WebCam it behaves very well, I most recently used it on New Years Eve 2003/04. I downloaded some free webcam software off the web instead of using the bundled software package.
As a standard digital camera the images are most suited to web but I was surprised at the quality. I don't think the output would be well suited to prints however.
As a Video Camera, I used it on a round the world trip to send video home to friends and family. The video quality was very good and I used the video editing software to customise the video and cut shots in and out of the final clips.
I am very happy with this product and although the specification may be low, I have had great fun with this camera and will not be replacing it for the foreseeable future.
