Logitech offers an excellent high resolution scanners that allows you to scan photos for your family Web-page, add emphasis to newsletters with eye-catching graphics, send images over the internet, and allow children to express their creativity for school projects.
Advantages: well priced Disadvantages: A bit larger than most modern scanners
...If you are looking for a well priced easy to use desktop scanner, look no further. In the past 12 to 18 months most hardware has seen dramatic price reductions and in the case of flatbed scanners there is no exception. The biggest problem here is knowing which makes and models will be most compatible to which computers, also what capabilities they have.
The Dexxa4800 Flatbed Scanner is very standard as far as looks go but handles virtually all types of materials to scan, if you placed your hand on the screen it would even scan that clearly.
The scan range (resolution) is anything between 50 and 4800 DPI which I'm sure for anyone is more than enough, besides which the high end resolutions would take enormous amounts of memory and super powerful computers to be any use.
For most people the Dexxa4800 is ideal and will work easily...

Advantages: Cheap... like the budgie Disadvantages: Can't think of any
...I recently bought a Dexxa Webcam... who I hear you say, well at £20 for a webcam, with motion detector software and it being compatible with logitech drivers... I bought it. Basically it is the same as the Quickcam Express, but cheaper, and a different colour. You can download the logitech drivers from their website and presto it is a QC Express (but still a different colour) The only problem is if you install the LT drivers you lose the motion decector function, which is a shame, but gain other usful facilites, such as being able to record sound, with out having to create a video e-mail.
Overall it is one of the great £20 investments I have made and even 6 months later I am still dead chuffed with it and until I find something better and cheaper....

Advantages: Cheap to buy, Easy to install, Easy to use! Disadvantages: Very stiff, hard to focus, not that good quality picture!
...(*note: I have only written about Pc experience not Mac)
The webcam now is very old and does not produce a great picture quality. The Dexxa webcam is small and stylish but is it worth it?
