Manufacturer's product description
Grab hold of the Logitech Flight Force stick and experience aerial combat like never before. Thanks to the powerful force feedback motor, you'll feel the action in your bones: weapon recoils, missile launches, explosions, and much more. The stick also delivers greater control of your aircraft than you could possibly get from your regular controller.
Advantages: Shop around and you can get it at an excellant price Disadvantages: Bit noisey
..., I was very happy and quick to reply to a new joystick. Instead of getting new socks for Christmas I could have a piece of hardware so I could get the most of my new interest of flight based games.
One of the things I have been missing on my joysticks was the left and right rudder actions, so I could turn the planes without having to reach for my keyboard. The new stick would need this I narrow my choice down to two sticks: -
Microsoft Force feedback model at £89.99
Logitech Wingman Force 3D at £49.99
I found the joystick to be at this price at most stores in Newcastle, until I found it at www.buy.com for only £35.92 plus postage. I was lucky as I found by chance a £15 off voucher for this site for purchases up to Christmas. You can find the joystick at http://www.gb.buy.com/stores/product.asp?STR=21&SKU=220014669 . I have got...

Advantages: Comfortable to use, sturdy, and offering a good range of controls Disadvantages: none
...I have been looking to replace my joystick, ever since my Thrustmaster F16 replica finally bit the dust. I wanted to get a quality controller, but I couldn't afford to stretch my budget to accomodate force feedback. It was after a little investigating that I stumbled upon Logitech's excellent Wingman Extreme Digital 3D.
>Overview and Value for money<
---------------------------------------
The Wingman Extreme Digital 3D is no doubt Logitech's mainstream joystick. It offers a good balance of functionality/comfort at a reasonable price. The joystick does not have force feedback, which adds a sense of vibrational realism to your games - but at this price it is to be expected. As far as I remember the joystick typically retails around £25. I feel that this is a very reasonable price, given the quality of this controller...

Advantages: Force Feedback, Intelligent Design, Excellent Software Disadvantages: No Left-Handed Facilities, Bulky Plug
...The LogitechForce 3D Pro Joystick was a great buy for me. It's very sleek and stylish and the perfect size for my desk (at about 8"x8"). The grip is specifically desinged for right-handed people which wasn't a problem for me but is something to bear in mind.
It automatically finds games on the computer and assigns keys appropriately which is a very good feature. The accompanying profiling software is easy to use which meant older games could still be easily programmed. there were also many useful tuning options in the control panel so you can adjust the stick to you exact style of gameplay. It performed very well when used with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and enhanced my general gaming experience.
The only really unfortunate thing about this product is the power plug which contains the transformer (and is therefore quick bulky...
