Hello everyone
Has your PS3 ever broke down and your out of warranty? Well then I'm pleased to tell you that you are covered under the Sales of Goods Acts. You may not be aware of this, but all that the Sales of Goods Act basically is;
You are legally covered under the Sales of Goods acts and are entitled to get your PS3 fixed or replaced by the retailer, as long as you have had it for under 6 years. The amount of years varies depending where you live. For Scotland it's 5 years but for England and Wales it is 6 years. You are only entitled to getting your PS3 fixed so long as you prove that a fault came with the PS3 when you purchased it. Some retailers may ask for an engineers report which cost about £20. The engineers report proves that there was a fault with the PS3. If there was actually a fault with the PS3 on the day you ...
Advantages: Excellent graphics, blu ray player, dvd upscaler, built in wi-fi, free internet gaming Disadvantages: Still quite expensive
i have now owned my PS3 slim for just over a month, and could not be more pleased with my purchase. As a gaming machine it is fantastic, and in my opinion far better than the xbox 360. Unlike the xbox 360 the ps3 comes with built in wireless and internet gaming is free, which to me is a massive advantage for the ps3. the extra features on ps3 are vast, theres the blu ray player which gives outstanding picture quality with a 1080p tv, not only that but the ps3 slim is also a dvd upscaler, brilliant if like me you have a vast dvd collection that you can't afford to upgrade to blu ray. One of the most recent firmware updates gives you the ability to watch bbc iplayer through the ps3, no more having to watch to missed episodes of top gear on a tiny laptop screen. In my opinion the small things make such a difference in putting the PS3 above ...
Advantages: Graphics, playability, blu-ray player! Disadvantages: None
I have been umming and arring over which colsole to buy, the Xbox 360 or Playstation 3. I had heard a lot of positive things about the Xbox, and I had also heard that graphics wise and gaming wise the Xbox was slightly better than the Playstation 3. However, I eventually decided to go for the Playstation 3 for several reasons.
Firstly, and probably mainly, was because of the recent decision to cancel production of the HD-DVD format (a format which the Xbox 360 is developed to play), meaning that the Blu-Ray dvd format ( a format that the Playstation 3 is developed to play) will dominate the High Definition DVD market in the near future.
Secondly, last year, the PS3's Blu-ray DVD player was voted best High Definition DVD player on the market. A DVD player that would have set you back over £250 to buy on it's own, but by buying ...
