It's a very lovely looking keyboard by Logitech. It looks amazing at night with the bedroom lights off, each key letter is illuminated bright blue, which is balanced well throughout the keys and none of them are dimly lit. Moving onto the LCD Display panel, it is fully adjustable and tiltable is the best way to describe it. By default it features the Logitech G Series Performance monitor, which shows your machines RAM and CPU bandwidth, and the Logitech G Series Clock which shows you analog clock and digital time and date. The other great thing about this display is that it shows your profile currently active. For instance I have Battlefield 2 installed and my Logitech G15 keyboard instantly recognised this game and configured the Battlefield 2 profile for me. By profile I mean key macro assignments which you can customise (or has been done for you) for the 18 "G" keys at the left hand side. So all the major functions of Battlefield 2 weapons, moves, guns, grenades, etc are programmed into those keys!! You can also download custom programs for the LCD display that can show you BF2 game stats, Falcon4 cockpit display readout, Fraps, MSN etc and many more to come soon. Just under the LCD display is the four buttons that control Windows Media Player along with a volume jog wheel, a very handy feature and no more mouse clicking in media player is needed anymore! Finally moving onto the brilliant G keys which makes this keyboard powerful, each key is fully customisable, you have the option to run shortcuts with one keypress or create your own macros for each game that you have if it was not already detected by the keyboards scan for games function. I have created my own batch file for PC shutdown and assigned it to G18 plus some others I use are calculator on G17, and my wireless router access page on G16. The usual web, calc, email, browser, are already pre-configured for you to select but you do need to create your own shutdown batch script and link it to a key. Only other thing I need to say is it comes with two USB 1.1 ports on top of the keyboard and it is finished in a soft rubbery / plastic black and silver colour. A well made keyboard.
My negatives for this keyboard are as follows: It is only USB 1.1 on the two ports at the top, would have been better to include USB 2
It has no sleep or shutdown button as standard, however you can program your own
It is not a colour LCD display, would have looked nicer given that the key lights are blue colour
It come with very sparse instructions and no information on how to create your own shutdown key which most people used to keyboards that have that function will need, however a tutorial is provided on CD which tells you how to open notepad with a G key.
A wired / wireless option for the keyboard would have been nice too, a gamer could have it wired into usb and self-powered at home, but can detach that cable and take the keyboard away wirelessly with batteries to play games at a friends house.

Advantages: Looks stylish til worn in, good for music control and email checking Disadvantages: usb hubs are nearly useless, hardly ANY support, under utilised.
