Logitech LS11

These speakers were purchased for use with a laptop and to be honest given that they were only £14.99 reduced from £19.99 in Argos my expectations were not very high and in the end I was a little surprised and pleased that they actually exceeded those expectations which is good however given I did not extect a great deal that does not mean that the sound quality is particularly brilliant but the sound is certainly listenable to and there have been no issues regarding performance.

The speakers are functional rather than stylish in my opinion. They are easy to set up through a simple connection and they are also suitable for use with MP3 players as well. Each speaker has a seperate volume control, however this is the only thing you can adjust through the speakers, and two headphone slots. They are nice and portable as well and that is a plus as I would take them if on a weekend break to use with my ipod.

At lower levels the sound quality is pretty good, it lacks depth when it comes to the bass sounds but other than that at the lower and mid levels on the volume control the sound is pretty clear and importantly an improvement on the quality of sound from my laptop internal speaker. The volume does have a pretty good range, they can certainly be used if you are playing back ground music in a room with lots of people talking. However when you start to crank up the volume the quality of sound does deteriate quite a bit and it becomes a bit tinny and loses definition.

Overall if you are just looking for a cheap set of speakers then these are not bad. I can imagine them being suitable for someone at Uni in a small room who plays music through their laptop on spotify as they will certainly be able to cope with that sort of usage. These are worth considering so those who want a cheap option that will be reliable as I have had no problems with them at all.
