Logitech Media Keyboard

I was in the process of upgrading my old keyboard as my new PC was black and my old keyboard was beige in colour, I had considered a cordless keyboard, but I cannot understand the need for buying a cordless keyboard, as you are/need to be sitting in front of the monitor, so I cannot understand the need to go cordless. I purchase this keyboard for £19.99 from Argos.

This keyboard is very very thin it is approx 2cm in thickness, so it should fit on any slide out keyboard desk shelf.

I will list the buttons on this keyboard,

SEARCH BUTTON= LAUNCHES GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE.

FORWARD/BACK BUTTONS= GOES FORWARD/BACK THROUGH WEB PAGES, DOCUMENTS ETC.

FAVOURITES= SHOWS INTERNET EXPLORER FAVOURITES.

HOME= LAUNCHES INTERNET SOFTWARE.

PLAY, STOP, FORWARD/REVERSE SEEK= THESE ARE USED IN WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.

MEDIA= LAUNCHES WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.

VOLUME UP/DOWN AND MUTE= TURNS VOLUME UP DOWN OR MUTES THE SOUND IN WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.

EMAIL= LAUNCHES EMAIL SOFTWARE.

MESSENGER= LAUNCHES WINDOWS MESSENGER.

CALCULATOR= LAUNCHES WINDOWS CALCULATOR.

There is also some re programable F buttons that you can program to launch for desired program etc, to do this you must first switch on the Enhanced F keys (to do this you press the F mode button that is placed above the numbers) or you can give this button another press and it will revert back to the standard F keys.

To use the above features you must first install the software that is included with the keyboard.

Apart from that the keyboard is like any other keyboard layout, it has the usual lights that light up when you have selected Caps lock, Num lock. The keyboard feels very well made and feels like it should last for many years. This keyboard comes with a 5 year warranty, so that should tell you something about the quality of this keyboard.

If you are in the market for a replacement/upgrade keyboard then you will not get much better than this, I have owned this keyboard for around 9 months and I have not had any problems, and it still feels as good as the day I bought it and believe me this keyboard has had some use.
