If your a gamer or graphics artist or something along these lines this mouse should gel with you nicely, not trying to generalise too much, Some people particularly graphics artist's look at there mouse like an extension of the hand and I relies this, So the shape is important as well but if you want high precision in addition to a mouse that fits your hand nicely every bit of resolution the mouse can offer counts so this one could well be for you.

What the mouse includes:

Two 800 Dpi (Dots per Inch) optical sensors for the maximum performance on almost any surface
No moving components such as balls, rollers, spring clips etc, nothing to clean, nothing to get worn and torn.
Sleek shape fits comfortably into your right hand
Four customizable buttons one of which acts as the scroll button.

About the mouse:
The sexy devil is moulded out of sliver and dark grey plastic with a transparent underside which allows you to see the optical sensors in operation which give off a red glow in true Logitech style.

Included in the packaging is the driver disc and a USB to PS2 converter and it will work just dandy in both ports.
PS2 Compatible (with converter supplied)
USB 1.1 Compatible
USB 2.0 Compatible

I think there are few mice that could sit along side this little bundle of fun and truly say there great maybe the Logitech B69 optical, which seems to be a predecessor of sorts to this one, The Original MouseMan sensors go up to 800 DPI.

I really enjoy using this mouse the difference between a ball mouse is second to none, playing a first person shooter is like comparing a artic lorry (proverbial ball mouse) to a Audi TT Sports car with power steering (our little friend) ... and doodling around in paint.exe you might almost for second forget its a mouse and believe its a pen/pencil against other optical mice I couldn't say I have always found using a optical mice so much more pleasant I am probably desensitised to the performance, but undoubtedly its going to be more accurate and smoother due to its technical capability.

The mouse cost £25 compared against a very similar mouse just with out the side button, using the old 1 sensor method, and not such a sexy moulding, which was only around £17 you might find your self hard pushed to go for the more expensive one if you don't require such high level of precision, until prices fall, I personally think £25 for such a quality little rodent isn't too bad.

Review of Logitech MouseMan mouse by Tanthalas

Advantages: Easy installation, great software, customisable buttons, comfort-moulded
Disadvantages: Right-handed people only

I've always loved Logitech for those little extras, and the Mouseman Wheel is no different. This has got to be the best mouse I have used to date. When I accidentally stood on my old mouse (don't ask!) I went out and bought a nice-looking Mouseman Wheel. It was very cheap, actually, at only £2. That was in a sale, but I shouldn't expectthe mouse to be much more anyway. One thing that you might want to take note of is the fact that this is not a ...
...that, so just sticking it in the back of your tower and telling it to get on with it isn't going to be any good. The software comes on a CD supplied with the mouse. Installation is easy. Really easy. I did it while getting dressed. Once the mouse is installed, the software, inventively called 'Mouseware', appears in the system tray at startup. Now, if you're one of these people who doesn't like a cluttered system tray, this might annoy you, but ... Read review

Spaceship on the desktop
Review of Logitech MouseMan mouse by chrisc559

Advantages: Wheel, ergonomic design, looks cool, button under the bulge
Disadvantages: More expensive then most

I bought this mouse to use on my laptop, as the touch pad is annoyingly temperamental. It is very well designed and the wheel is great for easy Internet browsing. The design is good for extended use but would be difficult to use if you were left-handed. One of the buttons is found under the bulge and is hard to get used to, but once you do, it can be very useful. The good thing about this particular mouse is that the bottom bit where the ball is ...
...in. Unlike other mice that I have bought, this one does not need cleaning half as often. There are 3 buttons plus the wheel that can be clicked down, the wheel usually moves so I don’t count it as a button. The wheel works with many products, but most importantly, with all of Microsoft’s programs, which is what I use most. Installation was a breeze. It automatically installed when I plugged it in. However, the manual did not make it clear that ... Read review

the Mouseman runs wild
Review of Logitech MouseMan Wheel - mouse by  polomonsteruk

Advantages: cordless, optical, scroll wheel
Disadvantages: guzzles batteries

...The first thing that strikes you about the Logitech Cordless MouseMan Optical (besides the mouthful of a name) are its aesthetics, for they are truly remarkable. Whereas in the past the mouse has simply been a necessity for a GUI operating system, it is now some kind of stylish fashion accessory for your computer. The only problem I can forsee from the pleasant aesthetics of this mouse is that they have been designed around having an asymmetric, right handed mouse, and therefore anyone wanting to use their left hand on their mouse is stumped. Having said this the ergonomics of the mouse for the right handed user are fantastic, it is a nice size and shape and the curves fit the contours of the hand very well indeed. Logitech havent simply gone for a standard scroll wheel mouse for the button layout either, aside from the standard, left... Read review

MY MOUSE IS COOL
Review of Logitech MouseMan Wheel - mouse by  thingywhatsit

Advantages: Good for your money
Disadvantages: None

...right for me. I wanted something that was PS/2 and USB friendly, something that would not be outdated the minute I change my Windows from 98 to XP which I eventually intend doing, and something robust enough to be able to give me a decent guarantee. This LOGITECH CORDLESS MOUSE gave me all of these options and the one option plus that I really did not take account of, but that I should have done, was that it is an OPTICAL SYSTEM. DUH !!!! I hear some of you saying. What is an optical system ? Well an optical system means that you do not have a ball on the bottom of the mouse that gets dirty and that needs cleaning out at regular intervals. This is a big plus to me and makes the mouse much more efficient and user friendly. The software that comes with the mouse is easy to install, and easy to follow, and within minutes, a computer... Sit 5 miles away and still play games
Review of Logitech MouseMan Wheel - mouse by  mentalmickey100

Advantages: No leads to get in the way.
Disadvantages: Batteries needed.

...Well you could probably sit 5 miles away, but would get no response, plus you would need some bloody big binoculars to see the monitor LOL. well i have read all the other reviews, and really there is not much, if anything you can add to theres, they are all very informative, and all very clear on what this cordless mouse does. A mouse is a mouse, you need one to work your pc, you need ones to play a lot of games, and you need one full stop, this cordless mouse is a fast responsive mouse, it has a simple rollerball in the middle to scroll down web pages, or to use in games if there are certain games configured for this usage. The Logitech mouse i have is a packard bell one, it is a nice grey with a lovely bit of blue. lovely colours indeed LOL. I have been using it, every single day since i got my new PC 5 weeks ago, and i... Read review
