Advantages: its tiny, awwww Disadvantages: price
I dropped my mouse in a bowl of soup &, not surprisingly, it stopped working so i had to get a new one.
I was on my way to a meeting so i popped in PC world on the way & was quickly bemused by the amount of mice on sale. I had been advised by a friend to get my laptop completely wireless if i was going to bother using external components & after smashing my LCD screen with an external keyboard last week i decided to accept this pearl ... ...were frankly ridiculous - yes Mr Gates, £80 for a mouse! and in a bit of a rush i picked up the Logitec V450 despite it not having a price tag or section on the shelf (sort it out PC World). Once the store full of supposedly computer specialist had finally got their till working i realised it was £34.99, which is about as high as i would have wanted to go for a wireless mouse (considering you can get a normal one for about a fiver)

some of the choices available were frankly ridiculous - yes Mr Gates, £80 for a mouse! and in a bit of a rush i picked up the Logitec V450 despite it not having a price tag or section on the shelf (sort it out PC World). Anyway, enough background, to the mouse
What's in the box - The mouse is in a massive amount of packaging which only includes a disk, 2 batteries, a USB plug which holds the transmitter, the mouse (minimal instruction leaflet about the same size as the disk) & a little bag for your mouse to sleep in
Setting up - The bottom of the mouse has a release button to pop off the top so you can put your batteries in, 2x AA. Very easy to do, i just did it then in seconds to confirm it was AA batteries. Once they are in you plug the USB into a socket & you're off. It's that easy, even a cat could do it. There is also a disc you can install which enables you to open up a control panel to change settings. I put this on because i found the speed of the cursor was far too fast for my sausage fingers to handle. Once the control panel is installed you have options of changing the speed, left & right button functions, leave a streaking cursor trail behind when you move the cursor, assisted scrolling when you use the wheel etc etc. There's also a set up page for gaming so if you play PC games this may mean something to you -i was lost & didn't touch this part
As well as the set up there's a tools option where you can access online support & health & safety guidelines. This opens up a windows type help box with countless folders full of useful & interesting informatioyawnnnn
How does it work -
no idea, its all lasers & alien technology
How does it work !!!
ok, after using one of those ball mice for years and getting sick of picking out bits of fluff I switched to one of those infra red ones. I found that if i wasn't on a completely flat surface & the mouse wasn't totally flat then the cursor would jump over to the other side of the screen sometimes - not with Mr V450. The laser is "advanced" so it will track on almost any surface (probably not on the top of a bowl of soup though ! ) so, no, I haven't had the same problem with this one, it glides around & once i had slowed down the speed of the cursor i am finding it very easy to use
Perhaps its a little too small for my paws, my only niggle, but there are molded trenches at the front for your fingers to sit in which make it easier to click so i am finding it to be very comfortable still. The wheel can be pushed left or right as well as clicked, which means you can zoom in and out on e.g. photos & finally, there's a slot underneath the mouse where you can put the USB which automatically switches off the power to save battery life ( and helps to make sure you don't lose it when you're traveling with it - or when its asleep in its pouch)
Overall - looks nice, comfy, possibly a bit expensive at £35, good wireless strength (2.4ghz ), good glide, moves when you expect it to.

Advantages: + Easy to use + Great feel in hand Disadvantages: - Faultless in my opinion
I bought this mouse after going through 2 Microsoft mice of a similar price and functionality. The problem with the Microsoft mice were the USB dongle was so long and it was top heavy, so it caused a intermittent fault where the dongle would not register as being plugged in unless giving it a waggle, not very good to the mouse, never alone your computer. So I bought the Logitech, the small dongle was the main selling point to me from first glance. ... ...I can see it has much more going for it. It is very responsive, and very light and easy to use. I use it for generally browsing the internet and using my MacBook from day to day. I also use it to play World of Warcraft and it works like a charm because it fits the contour of your hand making it very comftable. In my opinion this mouse is great value for money, as mentioned I've had it for 6 months and never had to change the battery, it gets used ...

Advantages: really small, easily transportable. works on most surfaces, great Battery life Disadvantages: Hard to open without scissors
...a sale) and made by Logitech I like that make it has never let me down. The thing I like most about it is the size of it its only about 10 centimetres the wireless USB receiver is only about 5 if that. The reason I bought it is because I was getting annoyed at my laptops touch pad as it was really small and you cant drag or highlight things and the fact that im a gamer so I really needed a mouse. This was my first laser mouse as well the other ones ... ...light at the bottoms I think there called optical mouse's.
What comes in the box…
Well you get a package(the really annoying plastic stuff which you cant open unless you use scissors.) A disc which contains the control panel for the mouse.
The mouse its self
A small pouch so your mouse can sleep nicely without all the dust.
The really small wireless USB receiver
2 AA batteries good for a year apparently
A small instruction booklet telling ...
