Logitech Pilot Optical Mouse - mouse

Advantages: No cleaning required.
Disadvantages: limited wire length.

Well here is a nice little mouse. The best part about this is... Its got no ball but a laser instead! and better yet it is connected directly to the PC which means no recharging hassle which i find to be a pain. If i was a gamer i would not want a constant low battery. This answered my problems overnight. No cleaning needed apart from when someones hair gets in the way of the laser. Extremely smooth and is instant when sending movement information ...

It is limited to 3 buttons including the mouse wheel which is now the basic amount for a mouse. but for 11 pounds thats very good considering it is a laser instead of an old ball. The Logitech Pilot Optical Mouse is a great, cheap alrounder mouse with great comfort and ease of use. I bought this as a replacement for my old mouse after it started to fall apart, and that was several years ago. Since then the mouse hasn't let me down whatsoever apart from the occasional time when one of the gliders on the bottom fell of due to heat warming the glue, but it hasnt happened again. The other added bonus about this mouse is the fact it is cabled meaning theres no chance of batteries running out, particularly when playing on games. ...It's kind of strange reviewing a mouse..Mainly because there's not that much to say about it! Anyway, I'll give it a go. I got this mouse for christmas from my mum. My old cordless logitech just died after 3 years of loyal service so I decided I would like another one. My first impressions were that the silver finish looks cool, but the blue but in the middle with the scroll wheel looks kind of tacky. Its strangely shaped compared to other mice. It's thin and long..I guess its meant to be more comfortable for the hands. Anyway, I didn't like it at first. It was REALLY uncomfortable!! Imho it was to thin and the mice buttons were to slanted. Since then, I've grown to like it. My older cordless mouse was better, but this is still nice :) As with all Logitech products, it's made of high quality parts and its reliable.... Read review

...this is a great mouse, i got mine for christmas so i can't say how good it is for using batteries, but it takes AA, so u can put rechargable ones in it. it can be used on most surfaces - even on the arm of a dining chair ! it can be used from a distance greater than specifed on the box, i've found that it works even through a door (not very practical, but it lead to a funny prank !). what i like best about this mouse, and what made me choose it, is that it has a very simple, comfortable design. lots of mice these days have extra buttons and scrolling wheels, but i find them annoying. this logitech mouse does the job with no fuss, and it's nicely shaped to fit your hand. i have given this mouse a poor 'extra features/ functions' score because it has none. however i feel that this is a bonus!... ...world and it comes with only a manual and a USB to PS/2 converter plug. its compatible with windows 98, SE, 2000 and XP. I would strongly not recommend this mouse to anyone if you want a really good, but cheap mouse then go for the Logitech pilot optical mouse it only cost £14.99 thats £5 cheaper and does not have any problem at all, no additional software is required, just plug and play....
