The PSP is an expensive piece of high tech kit so you should take care of it from scratches and knocks. The case that is supplied with the PSP is a soft pouch and you are unable to access the PSP while inside the pouch, so no protection while in use. The LCD screen would be ruined if it got scratched and to replace would cost you £45 by an authorized dealer and £23 to do it yourself and most parts are in excess of £20. So paying £9.98 from Micro Anvika UK is a small price to pay for a good case.
Logitech :- Logitech are a Swiss company that have been around since 1981. And in the tech world this is quite along time. Most of their products are computer, gaming and sound products, ranging from keyboards, speakers, web cams and accessories for MP3, Ipods and PSP's to name a few.
Case :- The case measures 7" x 4" x 1.25" and is made of a hard clear polycarbonate, this has scratched a lot but it is only surface scratches. Inside are 2 soft rubber inserts 1 in each side of the case that are moulded to the shape of the PSP, the inserts can be removed for cleaning. These are to prevent any movement inside the case that could scratch the PSP. The cases weight is 166g and with the PSP stored inside 456g, so this is no light weight. The size means it will not tuck into jean pockets but it will fit into say cargo pockets those large deep type or placed in a bag. Access can be reached to the power in, headphone socket, power on/off, wireless switch and left/ right shoulder triggers. So while the case is closed you can charge the PSP turn it on/off and listen to music with your headphones. A catch on the front keeps the case shut, press this in and it will open.
Movie stand :- The case is great as a stand. We have used it a few times when their is no in flight movie or we have seen the movie that is being shown. We pop the tray down open the case as wide as it goes then place it where we can both view the PSP. Should see some of the looks we get off other passengers as they sit there bored.
Holding :- Playing the PSP while in the case is quite cumbersome and anybody with smaller hands may struggle to keep a good grip but you do get used to it, but generally i only use the case when you need to use the top as a sun visor, this is not great at blocking out the sun but if you did not use it you definitely would not be able to see the screen. The PSP is not fastened into the case so you have to be careful not to topple the PSP out of the case.
Conclusion :- The PSP is not a small hand held anyway but this case does add to the bulk and weight. It would have been nice to be able to fasten the PSP into the case while in the open position to prevent it falling out. The PSP has a loop so that a strap can be attached, one on the case would have been good so you could wear it around your neck or clip it onto something. Overall the case does a great job and i am happy with it.
i supposably heard that this case was indistuctableand even BULLETPROOF ! not that im goin to try that myth out on my own psp but you could if you wished to ! now i think that this case is wicked , you drop your psp no harm done you accidently scratch the cover no harm to the psp's wonderfull screen but now i went to the seaside on day last year and it rained and somehow the car boot got flooded and guess what that is where my psp was so i recommend ...
