This webcam is a piece of crap. Many of the complaints on this cam are having a very poor software support and much complaint for not working properly with yahoo messenger.
However the Yahoo messenger will work on this one but the video will be very choppy if you are behind a firewall. If you are using a software firewall, enable port 5100. If you are using a broadband gateway or other type of router, you need to setup a either a virtual server or a port trigger. The port triggers are great if multiple computers on your network want to use the web cam. Just set up a trigger on port 5100 that opens 5100. If only you will use the camera, set up a Virtual Server that routes all traffic on port 5100 to your local IP address.
One of its features is the ability of the camera to take still photos and record short video clips. You can easily send it thru Instant Messenger or through an e-mail. Also, the videos have sound because the camera has a built in microphone. Though you are able to take still pictures
The headset is has an ordinary design, with an ear piece and a mic that clips around your ear. It is a little bit comfortable and is so small that people don't really notice that you’re wearing it. The USB cable is too short and it can barely reach the monitor. The cable is built in the cam so it can never be replaced; the same thing can be said on the headset it’s too short.
This cam is a piece of crap. Don’t buy this one.
