Logitech Logitech is a company devoted to making Interface devices that makes things easer and more efficient for the user. They make some of the best quality and most reliable products on the market. But does the Logitech quickcam walk the walk.
The Webcam and the Camera The camera unfortunately is not of Logitech’s usual quality and craftsmanship. The camera when being used is fussy and grainy. The other problem is the refresh rate of the device. The picture is slow to refresh which means that you get a delayed reaction; you might hear a clap and then 1-2 seconds later you might see the person clap and this is when it is not on the internet. The camera is cheep but you would still expect a quality picture.
The Microphone. This is a good part of the device. The microphone is built in to the webcam this is them main reason I brought the camera. This is a great idea this mean you don’t have to have a separate microphone.
The Set Up. The setup is the easiest part on this camera. All you have to do is plug it in and put the CD in the drive.
The cost of this item is the best part of this item. I would recommend this device to any one who has never used a webcam before and is looking to learn and explore the internet. Although the picture quality is not quite up to scratch it is still a good buy in my books.

Thank you, this was very helpful to a novice, like me. The fact that you said it was a good, cheap, one to try for someone with no experience really helps.

I use MSN messenger webcam all the time and I think the fuzzyness would put me off. I've got a philips webcam which was expensive at the time but atleast its pretty good quality. Shame the drivers aren't compatible with XP. The windows drivers are enough to run it for messenger thankfully!
