Had mine probably 2 years or so now. Not broken, not packed up still looks new.
Now to the details:

It appears under my computer so you can look at the cameras view, adjust brightness, mirrors manage the color settings everything. It has a zoom feature as well as black and white mode, sepia etc in the odd event you want to use it. Its packed with features that most people wouldn't use but nice to know its their.

I've never had a webcam before this one it has to be said so I can't compare it to another but I am very impressed and not even tempted to get another.

Setting it up. Well I’m on XP so like most things it was detected just like that. It loaded itself up, set itself up with MSN and it was ready to go just like that.
It appears under my computer so you can look at the cameras view, adjust brightness, mirrors manage the color settings everything. It has a zoom feature as well as black and white mode, sepia etc in the odd event you want to use it. Its packed with features that most people wouldn't use but nice to know its their.
This webcam works with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle Studio, and Windows Movie Maker. All of them recognize it and you can record direct into the program with the camera.
It works with Yahoo, MSN Messenger and other MSN conferencing tools, no problems with those either.
The camera resolution isn't to bad either it can go as high as 640x480 which is plenty for what the webcam needs to do (bearing in mind that most DV Video Cameras are 720x576 which isn't that much more)
The camera comes with software to allow stills to be taken at the max resolution. In addition the camera has a button on the top to take stills as and when you want. These are stored on the cameras memory and do not take up Hard Disc space, but can be easily transferred to the computer and appear simply as files when you open the camera from My Computer.
The camera comes with a privacy cover just incase you don’t trust it which is nice. When in use there is a green light on top to remind you that it’s on and your being watched. This light also comes on when the camera is being used to import video or take stills.
One final feature which is quite useful is the camera can automatically adjust brightness levels so if in a dark room it will brighten up a bit but if you shine a bright light in the camera it will darken. Recently found this out when messing around with torchlight while camera was on. Transitions between the brightness’s are smooth with a gradual fade between them.
Finally this camera works in both USB1 and USB2 connection ports. I have both types on my computer and they all work fine. It’s normally connected to a USB1 port to free up my USB2 ports but works fine in either. No noticeable difference between them.
That’s it. Fantastic camera. Lots of features, easy to use. Great piece of kit. Get one if you want one you wont regret it. Don’t get a cheap one! That’s something you will regret.
Advantages: High quality, includes microphone, good framerate Disadvantages: software not fantastic
I picked up a couple of these recently as I'd got ADSL at home and it meant I could give one to my daughter and have one at work, so I could "tele-parent" when she was home from school on the laptop and I was stuck at work.
They are very easy to install, simply plug the USB connector in and install the drivers included on the cd. They also come with a privacy shield (useful if you leave it running all the time and want to get changed or pick your ... ...and one for flat surfaces).
The included drivers work perfectly, however the software (which you use to mess about with saturation, brightness, zoom etc) has a habit of crashing on both my machine at work and my daughter's laptop, so I suspect it doesn't like XP. To be fair though, you don't need to use the software as on auto everything is fine.
The cam itself uses a CCD (which offer better quality than lower priced CMOS cams), and can spit out ...

Advantages: Easy to set up and use, great picture quality Disadvantages: Swivel base
I have had this camera for about a year after upgrading from a cheapy one that was very poor quality. This little thing not only looks stylish but also does the job required excellently. The picture quality is amazing and is great fun to use to talk to friends online. It's a doddle to set up, simply put the disc in your cd-rom and follow the instructions. It is a USB connection. The supplied software covers everything you could want from a webcam, ... ...use it as a security cam or just to catch out someone touching your PC when they shouldn't be! The built in microphone is another useful feature though I confess I prefer to use a miniture one attached to a tie clip as it's easier. Only downside is the swivel base which is effective but sometimes is too easy to part from the camera and can be a pain. Other than that it's great value for money. ...

Advantages: Professional look; built-in microphone; lighting options Disadvantages: Still takes fuzzy pictures
...alternative.
In my opinion Logitech makes the best webcams around. My brother has one, and I saw how it performed, so I decided to follow suit. Of course, I was looking for a cam that didn't take fuzzy pictures, and worked under low light. I bought the Quickcam Pro 4000 from eBay for around £40, believing it qualified.
First off, the camera works exactly like other Logitech cameras - install the software, plug it in and you're ready to go. It works ... ...Scanners and Cameras folder.
Another bonus is its support for low light environments - one of the biggest problems I've had with previous webcams. It will automatically adjust the picture to accommodate for lack of light, but you can also set brightness and contrast, as well as other colour correction options, within its options. Best of all, the camera takes pictures up to 1 megapixel.
It also has a manual focus, which is the ring around the lens, ...

Advantages: Good quality reliable webcam Disadvantages: USB 2? Not sure
...a proper digital camera. The logitech software is pretty much idiot proof, if a bit too much for advanced users.
I use mine for live capture, webcam chat and still captures.
Quality of picture is great and it even has a microphone attached onto the camera so you don't need additional hardware.
It even looks like cool in it's grey and black attire. The black ring round the lens, acts as a focus so you can do close up stuff, plus captures at a distance.

Advantages: Excellent quality, easy to set up Disadvantages: Stand
I previously owned a cheaper webcam; however the quality of the picture was not too great. I decided to upgrade to this camera and was pleased that it provided much better quality images, they are very clear and crisp. An added bonus is that it includes a small microphone.
The camera is really easy to set up. You plug it into a USB port and Windows finds it. There is no fiddling around required and no technical knowledge is needed.
The cam comes ... ...and pictures using your camera. This is all easy to use. Additionally there was an option to create a webcam show – however this used to cost an addition fee and has now been discontinued. I do not know if a replacement service is offered with recent purchases of the webcam. However there are other ways of broadcasting webcams on the net, such as the world of webcams website (www.ww.com).
I mostly use my webcam on the msn and yahoo chat programmes. ...
