Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000

I have had many webcams over the years and the Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 was one I owed a couple of years ago now. I used it for about 8 months, and throughout that time, I never had any problems with it. In fact, I have never had any issues with any products I have had from Logitech, they are truly a brilliant manufacture, producting high quality products. The Pro 4000 is definitely one of the best quality cams I have owned, the imaging is second to none, and in fact, it includes the best feature of any webcam that I have had, in its use of face tracking. For those of you who arent familiar with face tracking, it is a brilliant feature which auto focus's on your face, bringing front and centre on your computer screen, eliminating unwanted background images.

Once you have installed the software provided with the device, which is extremely easy to do, the program interface allows you do so many things. Some webcams only allow for the transmission of images as they are displayed on the screen. However with this device, by using the software, you can zoom in on the image, adjust the quality of the picture, such as the contract, brightness and saturation, however, in my experience, you will rarely need to do this, as the standard of quality of imaging is pretty much amazing as it is, but it is still great you have the option to adjust the settings.
In addition to this, you can also create horizontal and vertical symmetry imagining, a feature I have never come across before, and to be truthful, havent had much experience in using.

This is a perfect device if you are looking for a webcam to use with the likes of MSN or Skype, especially since it has an in built microphone included with it. Below are someof the more technical details relating to the Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000:

As long as you have the required screen resolution on your computer, this cam with work with the vast majority of operating systems such as Microsoft Windows and Apple Mac. The USB cable used to connect the device to your computer is integrated so there is no need to buy a separate one.

I payed £35 for my cam 3 years ago, so I am sure that if you shop around, you will definitely get it for less, but in my opinion, even if it was still priced at that level, it would be a bargain. Definitely worth purchasing, an excellent webcam, as expect from a company like Logitech. Gets my recommendation for sure.
