Hello, how are you, I wish I could see you. Sound familiar does it well how many times have you seen that whilst chatting to your friends and family whilst on line, I know I have.
I went out and bought a Trust Spacecam 200 web cam and used it for only one week, while running Windows Me. I probably would have stuck with it, even allowing for the terrible picture quality, which to put it mildly was not flattering except for the fact that it was not comparable, even though I was assured it was with Windows XP. So back it went to the supplier for a refund.
Here the problems started, no one in the shop (Pc World whispers Baz for fear of a deluge of bad comments) could or would commit themselves to stating which if any webcam would work with Windows XP.
Prices started from around £29 up to £90 plus and I was left to my own devices as to which one I chose. I settled for the Logitech Quickcam Express for the sum of £34.00 (well I needed it urgently to talk to someone dear to me, and where else on a wet Sunday afternoon could I get one) the reason behind buying this one was that it was compatible with Windows 2000 which I believe to be the nearest relation to XP.
Installation was a breeze. The installation CD flew through the procedure and only gave me one bad moment when up came a pop up window proclaiming that the web cam was not compatible with this version of Windows, but I let it load and to my delight it worked.

You can with the webcam, use it for live video over the internet, take still pictures or use it as a video recorder the results of which you can then send as an email to whoever you like. I use it in Yahoo messenger which by some quirk will not support a webcam if you download from the English website but go to the American site and it does support it although the software is a beta version, which works extremely well.
It comes with an array of bundled software including Microsoft NetMeeting, which definitely doesn’t work with XP, and CrestCards a program that allow you to compile and send video greeting cards.
Minimum system requirements are Windows 95 with a 266mhz processor. A free usb port, 16 MB Ram and 75 MB free space on your hard drive and if you want sound as well then you must have a Windows compatible sound card and of course a microphone.
I am very pleased with this webcam and will recommend it without reservation to anyone. It does not however look very good, it is in fact a ball with an eye perched on a triangle, I would suggest if you are a fan of South Park to paint it orange and call it Kenny for it is his double. Anyway look out for me on line, stop and have a chat, I’m still the one with the Black and White shirt

...focus the picture.
The Logitech Quickcam was extremely easy to install. All I did was put the CD in and followed th on-screen instructions. The software includes:
~'Quick Capture'~
This is the main window where you can adjust settings like brightness, constrast and saturation, film videos, take pictures and change the size.
~'My Logitech Pictures'~
This is the album where all your pictures and albums are stored and can be edited. You can add ... ...a Web Cam'~ This is where you can share live pictures from wherever you are with the rest of the world!
The picture quality of this camera isn't all that good. As I have already said, i only got this for a bit of fun with my friends. In daylight, it is quite good but still a bit 'fuzzy'. I usually tend to use the webcam at night becuase this is when I chat to my friends, the picture isn't good at all at this time because I'm sitting in artificial ...

Advantages: Quite cheap, Easy to set up Disadvantages: Poor image quality, Annoying stand
At around £20, The Logitech Quickcam Express is one of the cheapest webcams on the market , and in this case you truly get what you pay for. Image quality and lighting levels are very poor and the camera is big (for a webcam), bulky and difficult to arrange properly on its stand. My girlfriend bought this camera to use with her laptop, but the quality was so bad that she soon got a Creative one instead.

Logitech Quickcam Express
I got a webcam 2 years ago as I was moving to the UK and it would enable me to keep in contact with my dad who also has the same webcam.
Logitech Quickcam Express is like a mini digital video camera. Quickcam Express can bought starting from £10 at www.novatech.co.uk up to around £30 from www.dell.co.uk. I bought mine on promotion 2 webcams for £30. Or on Ebay starting at 99p to about £10. Just shop around to find the ... ...a pale blue. There's the Logitech logo on the top of the webcam and also has a blue button. This button is for taking quick and easy pictures or to start recording with the webcam. The webcam is 4cm x 3cm x 4cm and weighs about 200 grams. The digital capture speed is 30 frames per second so the motion on the webcam is quite fluid and doesn't stick too much unless you're running a lot of programs on your PC. You can put it in black & white or colour. ...

Advantages: Small, inexpensive, easy to set up and use Disadvantages: Mount is not very accurate
I got my Logitech Quickcam Express a few months ago and it has been a useful little device - sure it is limited in it's capabilities but it only cost 25 pounds!!
I have no real need for webcam but I thought it might be fun to hook one up. The device cost me about 30 pounds to begin with but then I got a manufacturers rebate that brought the price down to well below any competition.
Plugging it in couldn't have been simpler - the USB interface is ... ...down was corrupt - bu Logitech quickly fixed it and an new download was available.
Other reviewers have commented on picture quality and sure sometimes it can look pretty gruesome - I've found that by carefully arranging the lighting sources around my desk I can improve the quality to an acceptable level. Just like any good photopgrapher, cinematographer or videographer I thought about light - then again after working in theatre for more than a ...

Advantages: Easy to install, good software, easy to use Disadvantages: You need good lighting, otherwise picture quality drops.
This webcam is excellent value, costing around £30. For your money you get the camer and some software for it.
The camera has quite a long lead on it, and a USB connection to connect it to your computer. It was easy to install. Just plug it in, and install the software. No hassle at all. I would say that is is the easiest piece of hardware that I have bought to install (with the exception of things like keyboard and mouse that just plug in!)

Advantages: Useful on messengers, good cctv cam Disadvantages: Need good lighing, grainey
This is a good cam and worth the money, I purchased my from a local shop called CRS.
To get a good picture on the webcam, you need a good light source for example a lamp, it does have a slightly grainey picture, thats nothing to worry about. This camera also hard to position unless you shove a blob of blue tack on the base to keep it sturdy. I would recommend you dowload the latest camera drivers from Logitech as this cam will support them (the chip inside is really a "LogitechQuickcamExpress"). Also the labtec software is basicly the logitech quick cam 6 software with less features and a Labtec look. Other than that this is a good camera for messengers and live webcams on your website. ...
