I use MSN Messenger a lot to chat to friends and got this webcam so I can see me friends whilst I chat to them. This cam seemed to be the best option as it was heap and I wasn't looking for the best one, just a cam I could use for fun.
The webcam connects to the computer via a USB port so it's easy to plug in and out. The cable connecting the webcam and computer is long which is good for making videos or placeing the camera far away from the computer. The cam sits in a stand which allows the camera to rotate and look up or down. This helps if it sits on an angle and you want a straight picture. The cam can also be taken off the stand and held for making films. There is a button on top of the cam so pictures can be taken instantly from the cam instead of having to click on-screen. The lense can also be twisted to focus the picture.
The Logitech Quickcam was extremely easy to install. All I did was put the CD in and followed th on-screen instructions. The software includes:
~'Quick Capture'~ This is the main window where you can adjust settings like brightness, constrast and saturation, film videos, take pictures and change the size.
~'My Logitech Pictures'~ This is the album where all your pictures and albums are stored and can be edited. You can add text, change settings, crop and rotate the picture.
~'Create a Web Cam'~ This is where you can share live pictures from wherever you are with the rest of the world!
The picture quality of this camera isn't all that good. As I have already said, i only got this for a bit of fun with my friends. In daylight, it is quite good but still a bit 'fuzzy'. I usually tend to use the webcam at night becuase this is when I chat to my friends, the picture isn't good at all at this time because I'm sitting in artificial light. The picture is dark and you can't distinguish colours. After trying to get a better picture, adjusting the settings, the picture becomes 'acceptable'.
The price for this is £19.99, and compared to some webcams costing nearly £100, I think the quality of the picture is expected. If you're lookin for a cheap webcam that can be used easily and for 'fun', this is for you!

I have a logitech wecam, (not sure if it's this one though as I haven't used it in awhile) and it took time to get a decent pic, but it's pretty good considering the price. Vicki :o)
