The LogitechQuickCam Express is a nice looking webcam, with a neat little stand and very curvy lines. The camera and base are both whitey, so I don't reckon it would look that good with a black monitor. However, the base is around 9cms wide, and can't be put on top of a TFT moitor easily - at least not mine. If it has to be put on your desk, next to your monitor or whatever, then it doesn't really look up high enough, its really designed to look down on you not up. The focus ring is blue, which blends in nicely but the lens is a bit like looking into a black hole. I don't know if that's the same for all webcams, but it freaks me out a bit if I look straight down it. I got mine for £19.99 from a retail shop, which isn't too bad, and was deffinately a lot cheaper than the others they were advertising on their website. So I reckon it ain't too bad. The picture quality is pretty good, a bit grainy, but what can you expect for 20 quid? The setup for brightness and so on is not very advanced, and there doesn't seem to be much change however much you play about with it. The installation was all on CD, not really a problem but it does mean the instruction manual is practically non-excistent. But it is in 16 languages. Also, you have to be an administrator on XP to be able to install it, and quite a few of the features, like the picture gallery, don't work unless you are an administrator. That can be annoying at times. The instillation for it to use with MSN Messenger was fairly harmless, just opening up a conversation window and clicking video. That wasn't a problem, but it can take a little while to install itself. It also takes up 200MB. As a first webcam its just what I wanted, it looks good and it works.

A warm welcome to the madhouse! A good first review - tho I would suggest spacing the review out a bit. Also, the 120 words is a suggested minimum not maximum so you can go thoroughly in depth into each feature! If you need anything, just let me know. xx
