OK, let me start by explaining that I am no techy, so this review is designed more for those people like me who just think it's kinda cool to be able to see and be seen by friends and family. If you are looking for the more technical details of this webcam, try another review :-)
Packaging ----------------- I'm including this section because I think these days it's important to be an envirnomentally aware consumer and take into account the amount of packinging a product uses. This one loses out badly on this score, coming as it does in an excess of plastic. Seems the packaing is designed to show off the webcam when on display. It's even worse if you buy it over the internet- I did and it came in a huge box, filled with polystyrene.
I swore from that day on I would never again purchase anything online (unfortunately I haven't kept to this as well as I should but I digress)
What's included ---------------------- Of course, you get the camera, and the necessary software. A handy storage case is also included, which is a nice touch given that it's designed for notebooks, and is therefore likely to be carried around. For some inexplicable reason it also came with a European to UK plug adaptor. I don't understand this at all- since there are absolutely no parts that need to be plugged into a socket! However, it came in handy for me so I'm not complaining.
Installation --------------- As with most computer accessories these days installation was quick and easy. Just put the disc in your machine and follow the instructions. Having said that something went wrong the first time I installed it and it wouldn't work. I just uninstalled and re-installed and it has worked fine ever since.
The camera is designed to connect to a USB port, as is fairly standard fro computer peripherals.
Prograames like MSN messenger automaticall recognise that you have a webcam installed and allow you to use it.
Communication _______ OK, now down to the important question- how does the camera perform- and the answer- it's pretty good. The pitcures are very clear and it seems to cope pretty well with movement. I've noticed that with other webcams the picture can get very blurry if you move at all, but with this the picture stays relatively clear.
I have found that it is important to have a good source of light when using this camera, otherwise there's almost no picture. This seems to be the case for most webcams.
You can adjust the settings on the picture, and I have found I often need to do this. I don't know if it's changes in light conditions or if the settings automaticall re-set, but it's easy to adjust the settings within a programme like messenger. One thing I've noticed (and I'm not sure if this is particualr to this webcam or all webcams, or maybe cameras generally) is that sometimes, in order to make sure my picture is accurate, I have to adust the settings so that things ariound me appear different colours to what they actually are. I guess it has somethign to do with using artificial light sources, as this doesn't really occur in daylight.
MIcrophone- this camera comes with a built in microphone. Again, this is easily installed when you install the camera, and is perfectly usable for general communication.
Design ______ This camera is quite small. There is a little flap that covers the camera to protect it when not in use. It has also two legs that fold into the camera, and need to be opened out and positioned on your laptop screen. I have had some difficulty getting the camera to stay in position, using these legs, and I find that it will slip down when I move my laptop. However, with a bit of trial and error I can usually get it to stay in position for a session of messenger. One downside of the design is that it really an only be used with laptops, or maybe with a desktop with a flatscreen.
Overall Impressions ________________ I've been using this webcam every day for about 2 years, and I'm pretty happy with it. I would recommend it to people who have laptops and want to be able to have video calls with friends and family. Although it's called the Pro I'm not sure how suited it would be for "professional" use, whatever that may mean.

Great review, anyone can get the technical stuff from the product description, reviews with the personal touch are much more interesting to read and more honest. Cheers. Sam
