Advantages almost invisible when attactched to tft monitor

Disadvantages none really

Having being persuaded to get a cam so the grandkids can see me when we chat on msn, i started looking around with little or no idea what i was looking for.

My wife nearly had kittens when i told her i had paid £55 pound for this technological wonder, She soon produced the trusty argos catalogue to show me that i could have had a webcam for £12.

Both of us now though are glad we purchased the logitech quickcam as we are constantly told by people we have spoken to on msn how clear and constant our cam is compared to others.

The one thing i was glad of over and above everything was the ease of connection because it was my first cam i was prepared to have to call up my son for help but it was so simple to install and very very easy to adjust the settings to achieve the best picture.

The cam itself has the following specs:
Still Image: 1280 x 960
built-in microphone
Computer Interface: USB 2.0
RightLight technology & RightSound technology
usb 2 connection , although it will work on usb 1
comes with a flat panel monitor clip.

system requirements to use this cam are:
Windows 2000/XP - Pentium 4 - 1.4 GHz - RAM 128 MB - HD 200 MB.

It also comes with all the required software to connect it to your pc, and is covered with a 2 year manufacturers warranty for piece of mind.

We now use this cam regularly to chat to friends and family and it has never given us a moments trouble in 5 months, also if you cant be bothere getting out the digi cam this device will snap a decent still image too, At 1.3 mega pixels its not as good as most digi cams but still a very decent picture quality!

I would recomend spending the extra to get this cam rather than the cheaper options available as i certainly notice that when chatting to the grand kids their cam tends to freeze from time to time usually just as they hold up a picture they have drawn or something they really want you to see. By the time the cam has caught up the picture is gone and they are on to something else.

Might have to splash out on another of these for the grandkids so i dont have to keep telling them their pictures are lovely without ever actually having seen them, One of these days they will ask whats in the picture then i am caught!!
