The S100s came in a rather inconspicuous brown box, packed in nice and neatly, and of course sealed with plastic bags.
Once out the box, you can immediately see the value you are getting. I paid £7.99 for my set, and in this day and age for that you either get two McDonald's meals, a cinema ticket, or these babies. I know which one I would pick!
The blue LED power indicator was the first thing that struck me as a great touch. The headphone socket shows that Logitech is thinking about functionality aswell as just looks, and the nice long cables ensure that whatever you want to use these for, you definitely can.
Now, onto the reason you actually need speakers. The sound. I didn't expect a great deal really, as I was that impressed by the build quality and looks I really didn't think Logitech could spend anymore money on making the product 100% perfect! I also believed the small stature of the speakers would affect the quality of the sound produced for the worst.
I was pleasantly surprised when I cranked up some Green Day on the diminutive S100s. For such tiny speakers they sure do know how to make a racket! The amazing song "When September Ends" sounds as truly amazing as it should do, and "American Idiot" feels truly alive.
For those of you out there who like other genres of music, The Gorillaz sounded OK but due to the absence of low bass was a little bit dissapointing.
Franz Ferdinand sounded very good, probably due to it's high reliance on the "mid-bass" found in the boom-boxes that kind of music is listened to with.
Slower music such as Dido sounds the best for these speakers, I believe, as the crisp high notes the S100s can deliver brings out the clarity needed to appreciate her slow but enchanting music.
So to sum it all up: The S100s are great for all types of music, but if you are particularly interested in the Rock or Vocal genres, then BUY A SET NOW!
Advantages: small, easily packable, rechargeable battery, decent sound Disadvantages: bit cheap looking, ages to charge up
I bought these travel speakers as we are going on an 'away from it all' holiday and I wanted to be able to use my ipod anywhere. They are compact and dead easy to use, with a funky little remote control and a very durable travel case that packs away nicely. A good feature is that you can charge your ipod whilst listening to it if the speakers are plugged in, so you don't need to faff around with the computer.
The removable plasic holder for different ... ...is very cheap plastic, they could have used something a bit more durable.
The instructions are easy to follow if a little misleading, it says that the speakers may take up to 5 hours to charge initially, mine took nearly 10 hours!
The speakers are supposed to give 10 hours play on the rechargeable battery and I got around 9 hours, which is not too bad.
The sound is pretty good for such small speakers, though at their loudest are a little distorted, ...

...are thinking of deciding which logitech speakers to buy, or any speakers, these are the ones.
They only cost me 10 dollars from the United States, and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase.
The good thing about the speakers is that they are extremely reliable, and the sound given off is clear.
The speakers include volume controls on the speaker, making it easy to change the volume in one turn
The main advantantage of the speakers are that ...

, the monitor requires an external power brick. Image quality is good, with even backlighting and bright colours.
The base is quite interesting, as it integrates speakers with buttons for the OSD. The speakers quality isn't going to blow your mind however, so Acer has supplied a set of LogitechS-100s. That said, these aren't going to blow your socks off either as you might imagine for their size- that's not going to please those 'gamers'. The same goes for the audio with the Realtek ALC655 chip integrated onto the board. With only one spare PCI slot on the motherboard you'll going to have to be careful with your upgrade choices. As it stands though, the integrated chip is capable of 5.1 output, though you'd obviously have to upgrade your speaker set to obtain this.
Internally, build quality is good. There's plenty of internal 3.5in bays to add ...
