Advantages: Price, Sound Quality, Durable Disadvantages: Look a Little Cheap
I bought these Logitech S200 speakers from eBuyer about 18 months ago for around £35. Setting the speaker system up was easy enough, simply a matter of plugging the bass into the mains, with the satellite speakers attached to this. The 'main' speaker has a headphone jack and microphone port as well as volume and bass knobs, with a power switch.
The speaker system doesn't look particularly eyecatching or appealing, but for £35 there ... ...how small the speakers actually were - a little taller than a 6" ruler. I was even more surprised by how loud they are capable of going. The bass is rich and even at maximum volume there is still no distortion in sound. The bass can be adjusted using the knob on the main speaker, which is very suitable as I listen to quite a range of music. The speaker system doesn't look particularly eyecatching or appealing, but for £35 there are very few models which would. I was surprised at how small the speakers actually were - a little taller than a 6" ruler. I was even more surprised by how loud they are capable of going. The bass is rich and even at maximum volume there is still no distortion in sound. The bass can be adjusted using the knob on the main speaker, which is very suitable as I listen to quite a range of music. The sound quality is fine - above average and a solid option to choose if you watch any videos or game on your computer.
I have owned these speakers for about a year and a half and I am having difficulty faulting them with the £35 - now down to £22 price tag along with daily use. I have noticed that whenever they are not in use, but turned on from time to time there is a single 'pop' noise which I cannot explain. It may just be my area, but the bass system in the last 6 months has managed to pick up some signals from the local taxi firm, albeit a very low volume. I did find the wires to be a little short for me, but they should be fine for anyone else. They can quite easily get toppled over as well, if you are planning to place the set-up anywhere which has a lot of movement going on.
Overall I can honestly say that this is a quality set-up for the price tag. They look a little on the cheap side, but the bass is quite impressive and sound quality is indeed good. They last - I haven't had any major problems at all with them. I would highly recommend these speakers!
Advantages: Cheap, Good looking for the price, Compact, Great sound Disadvantages: None!
...should continue as long as Logitech continue to manufacture products such as the S200.
Let's start with the aesthetics of the S200s. They come in a rather smart black and silver finish, which may look tacky but is actually very smart in the flesh. They feel solid to the touch, and very robust if dropped (I accidentaly did this but please don't!). A headphone and microphone socket are both included on one sattelite speaker, making night-listening ... ...your PC.
The quality Logitech seem to have implemented with the S200s appears to carry on with the sound produced when you fire up the set. The subwoofer produces deep and satisfying bass that can truly shake the floor, whilst maintaining tight control and not sounding overpowering.
The sattelites produce crisp and detailed treble, and have the ability to impress at high or low volumes.
The set as a whole covers the frequency spectum extremely ...

I do not understand. I paid 15£ for these and was not expecting what i got. These little things are absolutely amazing! The sound is excellent and the base is kicking. They are simple to install, just plug and play. The satellites plug into the subwoofer unit which then goes into the computer.
There is a green and pink cable that goes into the computer.
On one of the satellites you get handy to use Green (for headphones) and Pink (for mic's) connectors. ... ...back of your computer to plug in a microphone and headphones. It also, on the same satellite unit, has a power on/off button and volume and bass adjusters.
The base subwoofer unit feels very solid with no vibration coming from it. It is built from what feels like wood covered with plastic or solid slabs of plastic.
The subwoofer and satellite units look very stylish and modern with the silver and black colours each printed with Logitech's logo ...

Advantages: Superb sound quality, loud for the size, compact, convenient Disadvantages: faint humming when not in use
I have owned theses speakers for over one year now and they have not failed me in any way. the only disadvantage of these speakers is a very faint humming siound when they are not in use, however this should not put you off the purchase as they are very reliable and have excellent sound quality. they are also acceptably priced and are ideal for any PC desktop users. they can also be used for anything with a standared 1.5mm jack port (i use them with ...

...The few words about the Logitech itself - if they do, they do well. I had never had an opportunity to disappoint of their products - neither in quality, nor in looks or other way. The just do well. Alright, let's get back to the speakers. The only annoying thing is power source humming. Its quite loud, and if you are in a very silent environment (in example, at night), it may bother you. Mainly, that's the only disadvantge.
The advantages list is ... ...bass, it makes my table vibrate. It has Mic and Headphones jacks in them (you its easier to plug in the Microphone or the Headphones in them, than to go on your knees under the table searching for the correct jack at the back of your case). They are loud enough to overcome my neighbour's expensive stereo (yeah, we sometimes do a "loudness battle"). They look very nice, stylish and cool, sound quality is awesome, and even the Power LED (the little ...

Advantages: Small satellites, Small-ish Sub, Cheap Disadvantages: Sub hums loudly when inactive
My S-200s arrived about 10 minutes ago and i already have them set up and working....thats how easy they are to set up and use!!
The first thing i noticed when i turned them on was that the sub hums incredibly loudly! I dont know whether this is good or bad but i do know that it cannot be turned down to stop the humming, I tried turning the bass volume knob on the site of the main satellite and that did nothing, same with the main volume, I also ... ...However it seems to be ok when the speaker is being used, the sound that comes out masks the hum. However I wouldn't recommend these if you play your music to rooms of people...the humming may make it too hard....but they are fine in a small room for just listening to music or playing games.
Moving on form the hum though....the sound quality is very very good for such a cheap set of 2.1 speakers and if you like listening to music whilst working ...
