Logitech Trackman Wheel - trackball

"I'm glad I'm not you" I said as I hurriedly left the school office for the comfort of the classroom and a sensible mouse. I had been using the mouse that our school administrator uses as I did some work at her machine. Ugh! I had often looked and wondered. It's referred to at work as ... Read review

I'm glad I'm not you

Advantages: Apparantly helps combat RSI
Disadvantages: Strange, bulky, uncomfortable

...I ever enjoyed was a logitech cordless mouse that had a thumb switch that could be programmed to do almost anything. Apart from that I prefer the most standard mouse available and this just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. I would not recommend this and would say stick to the usual if you don't want to look daft and have difficulty clicking on screen buttons.

...as smooth as my old logitech trackman which was very welcome due to the cursor lag I experienced with the wireless version. I have unplugged the microsoft trackball due to how much I like this mouse. Gaming: I have only tested this mouse briefly in game and haven't configured it properly yet. Having sliced through my nail and into my finger earlier today with a rather large knife I won't get to give it a proper test for a good few days. Logitech ...

Why by a microsoft trackball when this is as good?

Advantages: Space saving, ease of use
Disadvantages: cant think of one

I wanted a new mouse, desk space was starting to get limited so I looked into getting a trackball mouse. After trawling through loads of mice and trying them in the shops, I decided I wanted a 2 button + scroll wheel, side trackball mouse. The microsoft version was way to expensive, then I saw this on an auction site (if you`ve read any other of my reviews you`ll know the one!) for £14.99 brand new inc P&P and I had to have it! Connection is via ...
...included to allow full use for all the buttons. Installing the mouse takes all of 2 minutes and your away. At first it was a bit strange after using a normal mouse , but once used to the thumb wheel it is great. I know alot of people moan about them but all the buttons can be made to activate what ever function you want and the scroll and pointer speed is fully adjustable, so once set up for you it is really is good. Of course the main plus point ...

Logitech Trackball

Advantages: Ergonomic, easy to use, reduces strain on wrist
Disadvantages: Only suitable for right-handed, no extra buttons

I originally got the logitech trackman wheel to relieve the pain in my wrist (from using a mouse too often) as the only part that needs moving is the thumb. I've got to say it really helped. It is much more relaxing to use than a standard mouse - the trackball is actually very smooth. It did take a couple of days to get used to and get a feel for it but in the end it was definitely worth it. Regarding accuracy, I wouldn't use it to play FPS but ...

Persevere with this

Advantages: Easy to use, easy to install, helps RSI
Disadvantages: Bulky shape, cost

I purchased this as I heard a trackball mouse would be good for RSI, and it has made a difference. i can spend longer on my PC compared with a normal mouse. The product was easy to install and worked straight away. It was difficult to use at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was really easy! I find the shape fits my hand and that I can use it to rest my wrist. It is easy to clean as well. The things I do not like about it is that it takes ...

Inuendo central for the cordless Logitech Trackman Wheel mouse!

Advantages: wireless, accurate, comfortable, and durable
Disadvantages: doesnt like super super fine work, gets tacky quite quickly

Balls are back! and there is far less hand gymnastics required with this excellent mouse without a tail! I bought this device about 3 months ago and will never look back! it has served me well and will continue to serve me well for the foreseeable future... when i first recieved this mouse, it was packaged well and came with a nice user friendly set up, drivers and sofware... it did take me a few hours to get used to not moving my hand all about the place, and for a split second was getting confused as to why the cursor wasnt moving when i moved the mouse! but it didnt take long to get used to it at all, and is a lot easier to use than the standard arm flailing of a regular mouse! as you can see from the picture, the mouse wheel is manipulated by the thumb, which is a brilliant idea, and one of those things that should have been ...

Review of Logitech Trackman Cordless Wheel - trackball

Definitely not dog food

Advantages: Great design, good range
Disadvantages: Not for left handers (although you can probably get a left handed versions)

from the traditional trackball layout (ball in the middle and buttons either side), the Trackman looks more like mouse, it has the traditional mouse shape and button layout (with a wheel between the buttons) and ball for the thumb embedded in the left hand side. The shape was well moulded to my hand and was probably the most comfortable mouse/trackball I?ve ever had, going to have to buy a new one at at aroun £40 its not too dear. Needless to say the dog was in the bad books! ...

Review of Logitech Trackman Cordless Wheel - trackball

I wanted to love it

Advantages: Cordless, shape, no rsi,
Disadvantages: too big for little hands, short infra red range

A strange mouse phase started when I had to send my poor came with the pc no frills mouse to the junkyard in the sky. I work in IT and when I told my so called work friends about my lack of mouse problem I got heaps of advice on what sort to go for and seem to have become a mouse donation point. In steps the Logitech's Cordless Trackman Wheel, well actually it was flung at my by a mate who thinks they are the worst thing invented but he is a hard core gamer so I ignored this statement and took it home. · PC requirements: Windows 95, 98, NT, or 2000; available PS/2 or USB port (Windows 98 or later required for USB) Features: · Wheel allows fast and easy scrolling · Features digital radio technology · Patented optical technology · No line of sight necessary between mouse and receiver
