...I ever enjoyed was a logitech cordless mouse that had a thumb switch that could be programmed to do almost anything. Apart from that I prefer the most standard mouse available and this just doesn't do it for me I'm afraid. I would not recommend this and would say stick to the usual if you don't want to look daft and have difficulty clicking on screen buttons.

So, why was I pleased to leave it.
DESIGN This is supposed to mould to the shape of your hand. Joke. I found it completely uncomfortable and far too large. Jaa Jaa Binks may find this a comfortable mouse - to all humans however this is hideous. The trackerball is huge. So, your fingers are busy trying to manipulate the pointer in the right direction and at the right time. Because the mouse so completely takes over your hand ... you've no sooner successfully positioned the mouse pointer on screen than you've lost that positioning again. As you try to click it's impossible to keep your fingers still and as they are always on the tracker ball the only way to stop the mouse pointer moving as you click is to arch your hand uncomfortably upwards so that your fingers momentarily leave the ball.
COLOUR Come on, most people have the beige box for their computer ... one or two of the more affluent Ciaoers amongst you may have the white or black offering that is now to be seen. Who has a marbled scarlet computer? Nobody ... ha, then this mouse will not match your machine. It will look out of place, desperately trying to look cool and funky but failing and instead looking like a your mouse has haemorroids.
PRICE I know it can be obtained cheaper now by shopping around but eight months ago this cost £39.99 WOW - for such an ugly uncomfortable and functionally useless piece of tosh.
ANOTHER OPINION My school administrator who does far more typing and data entry than I would ever wish to be a part of swears it is the best mouse ever and significantly reduces the levels of pain she used to suffer. Maybe this is true if you are prepared to use it for time and get used to it. Maybe it is true if you use the mouse for many hours each day.

...as smooth as my old logitech trackman which was very welcome due to the cursor lag I experienced with the wireless version. I have unplugged the microsoft trackball due to how much I like this mouse.
Gaming: I have only tested this mouse briefly in game and haven't configured it properly yet. Having sliced through my nail and into my finger earlier today with a rather large knife I won't get to give it a proper test for a good few days.

I wanted a new mouse, desk space was starting to get limited so I looked into getting a trackball mouse. After trawling through loads of mice and trying them in the shops, I decided I wanted a 2 button + scroll wheel, side trackball mouse. The microsoft version was way to expensive, then I saw this on an auction site (if you`ve read any other of my reviews you`ll know the one!) for £14.99 brand new inc P&P and I had to have it!
Connection is via ... ...included to allow full use for all the buttons. Installing the mouse takes all of 2 minutes and your away. At first it was a bit strange after using a normal mouse , but once used to the thumb wheel it is great. I know alot of people moan about them but all the buttons can be made to activate what ever function you want and the scroll and pointer speed is fully adjustable, so once set up for you it is really is good.

I originally got the logitech trackman wheel to relieve the pain in my wrist (from using a mouse too often) as the only part that needs moving is the thumb. I've got to say it really helped. It is much more relaxing to use than a standard mouse - the trackball is actually very smooth. It did take a couple of days to get used to and get a feel for it but in the end it was definitely worth it.
Regarding accuracy, I wouldn't use it to play FPS but ...

Advantages: Easy to use, easy to install, helps RSI Disadvantages: Bulky shape, cost
I purchased this as I heard a trackball mouse would be good for RSI, and it has made a difference. i can spend longer on my PC compared with a normal mouse. The product was easy to install and worked straight away. It was difficult to use at first, but once I got the hang of it, it was really easy! I find the shape fits my hand and that I can use it to rest my wrist. It is easy to clean as well.

I bought this device about 3 months ago and will never look back! it has served me well and will continue to serve me well for the foreseeable future...
when i first recieved this mouse, it was packaged well and came with a nice user friendly set up, drivers and sofware... it did take me a few hours to get used to not moving my hand all about the place, and for a split second was getting confused as to why the cursor wasnt moving when i moved the mouse! but it didnt take long to get used to it at all, and is a lot easier to use than the standard arm flailing of a regular mouse!
as you can see from the picture, the mouse wheel is manipulated by the thumb, which is a brilliant idea, and one of those things that should have been ...

from the traditional trackball layout (ball in the middle and buttons either side), the Trackman looks more like mouse, it has the traditional mouse shape and button layout (with a wheel between the buttons) and ball for the thumb embedded in the left hand side. The shape was well moulded to my hand and was probably the most comfortable mouse/trackball I?ve ever had, going to have to buy a new one at at aroun £40 its not too dear.
Needless to say the dog was in the bad books! ...
