It is actually very stylish. It has a silver, rectangular base from which extends a tall thin ,black microphone piece. This piece is on a swivel so it can be moved forwards or backwards to suit your position and can also be pushed fully down ... ...when pressed goes bright green and signals the device is ready to record.
Despite it somewhat phallic appearance ,surprisingly none of my pupils have actually mentioned this or even done rude things with it which is more than can be said for some of the staff!

This piece is on a swivel so it can be moved forwards or backwards to suit your position and can also be pushed fully down when packing away. On the base is a button that when pressed goes bright green and signals the device is ready to record.

*** Installation ***
This is extremely easy. You merely plug in the USB device into the port on your computer. This lauches the Add New Hardware Wizard follow the instructions and it's ready to use.
Witha Mac it is just as easy. Again place the USB device in the port, click system preferences choose sound to activate the Sound Option Window.
The ease of installation was a big plus for me as I couldn't leave the microphones permanetly attached. However, it has been incredible easy to install.
*** How to use ***
Difficult one I know. Have a guess?
No you don't put the silver base in your mouth and try to talk at the same time, that's silly.
No believe it or not you position the microphone where you want click the record button and it records your voice or any other sound you wish. It really is that easy.
However it can take a few goes to get the quality and volume of your voice at an appropriate level. The speaker's distance from the microphone is critical to the whole process. However there is alot of free software around at the moment that allows you to manipulate your sounds ( see later).
*** Some uses ****
Clearly there are many uses for this microphone. I believe delivers better quality than inbuilt microphones so if your doing a Webcast it could be useful.
I primarily use it with Macs when using I-Movies. We use the microphones so groups can record commentary over existing film footage.
However I have found an exciting new opportuinity to use this recently; to make your own Podcast. This is incredibly easy to do and if you go to BT education webpage they will walk you through the different steps. Also they will point you towards software called Audacity which helps you to manipulate the sounds you have recorded on your microphone. This is a fantastic piece of free software I would strongly recomment. Use both and you could even do a Podcast of all your reviews, how exciting!
*** Cost ***
I have just run a froogle search on this and it is coming up for about £11.00 with some retailers. This is an excellent price. I'm not sure what we paid because we bought in bulk but I believe this to be a bit of a bargain.
*** Overview ***
This is an excellent microphone. It is easy to install even if your not confident with computers. The sound quality is good. It could open up new avenues of use for your computer and it is easy to pack away. Just avoid doing naughty things with it or I'll have to put you in detention!
Advantages: no installing required ,easyto use,mute function button,usb, high quality Disadvantages: Not able to be stuck to your monitor- has to remain on desk., pricey
...by the very well known Logitech so I got it.
It comes in a sealed plastic case with a warranty, instructions and its about 1.5metre length of USB cable.
To use it I thought I would have to install some drivers but it turns out you just plug it in the back and presto, it's on! You can see it is on by seeing a green light on the button. If it doesn't turn on right away, press the button as it probably is turned on mute.
It was immediately recognized ... ...on messenger which was my mane purpose for it. I have used it for audio recording as well and since it has a very high quality of recording its perfect!
A really neat feature of this mic that stands out is the button on its base stand. It is used to turn off the mic or turn it back on. It is a very big help for if the phone rings and instead of shutting off the conversation you can just hit that.
The base is quite weighty so don't worry about the ...

I bought this microphone because I needed one for online gaming and did not want to spend shed loads on one. This was ideal for me. This is a very, very good microphone for a number of reasons.
Design - the design is fantastic. It looks incredibly cool, the on/off button is in a very predominant place and lights up a cool green colour. It is also easily adjusted. It is very sleak and can fit anywhere on your desk.
Sound quality - amazing. No problems ... ...something like that then spend more on a microphone. For talking on the internet - chatting or gaming, for example, you can't ask for more.
Drivers? What drivers. Plug it in and go. It's that easy.
USB - very easy to plug in, especially if you have slots on the front of your computer which I do. The lead is also of a good length
Value - as I mentioned it is very good value. I've never had any problems with it, sound quality is awesome. Why spend ...

Advantages: Excellent sound quality, on/off button. Plug and play Disadvantages: Picks up speaker echo slightly
An excellent little pc microphone. I picked up one of these from ebay after reading reviews about it and it's definetly the best microphone i've ever used so far.
Very crisp sound quality, excellent for the voice acting work i do, and also voice chats.
Only downside is it slightly picks up my speakers sound on voice chat.
Overall though i'd high recommend this thing.
The design of it is a little weird shaped, but it does the job. It definetly ...

...reason why i went with logitech is because i've owned logitech products in the past. I've owned a logitech mouse and keyboard which i've been using for years. To this date, The keyboard and move still work. That proves logitech has quality in their products. They last long without breaking like other companies out there. Logitech mouses are also the best mouses in my opinion. Another thing thats good is that it's USB. USB is far better than most ...

I use this microphone for many uses. Speech to text, in game and video conversations. So, What do I think of it???
The product is very stylish, it consists of a small silver, palm sized base which contains a button which turns a nice shade of green when turn on. From the rear is the USB cable which is around 2m if my memory serves me correct. From the stylish silver base extrudes a 30cm, sleek, stylish stalk which sits on a backwards and forwards ... ...packing away. At the end of th estalk is postioned to microphone.
So far so good, good looks, many uses but how does it perform in these uses? Well, as I talk into the microphone typing this into word, it is picking up every sound I make, and, clearly. The only issues are with the speech to text software but that is for another day!!! I then got a little tired of saying a review so I had a video conversation wih my friend, he "understands me clearly ...
