I use this microphone for many uses. Speech to text, in game and video conversations. So, What do I think of it???
The product is very stylish, it consists of a small silver, palm sized base which contains a button which turns a nice shade of green when turn on. From the rear is the USB cable which is around 2m if my memory serves me correct. From the stylish silver base extrudes a 30cm, sleek, stylish stalk which sits on a backwards and forwards swivel base capabke of traveling close to 180' for easy packing away. At the end of th estalk is postioned to microphone.
So far so good, good looks, many uses but how does it perform in these uses? Well, as I talk into the microphone typing this into word, it is picking up every sound I make, and, clearly. The only issues are with the speech to text software but that is for another day!!! I then got a little tired of saying a review so I had a video conversation wih my friend, he "understands me clearly enough but is not the best reproduction of my voice and not loud enough" he says. Perhaps a good thing? I will let everyone else decide that one!!! Finally is the part that lets the whole thing down, in game chat. Really, is there a better solution? Well, in simple terms YES. If they hear you in game above the static and distortion, the reproduction of my voice is soft and quite. I often get told to shut up!!! So that is what i am going to do knowm shut up. Not the best microphone, non USB varients will produce better results than USB vut thisis simple to install, plug and play. Thanks for reading
