I find being able to alter the bass extremely useful, especially as I have a flat and late and night I'm never sure if the bass is too loud for my neighbours!

They are easy to set up with colour-coded cables so you can't go wrong, they're easy to plug into a headphone jack, so they're really versatile, even your iPod.
They quality of the sound is very good for the price. There is a control attached to them where you can alter the volume and also bass. On the control is also an on/off button.
I find being able to alter the bass extremely useful, especially as I have a flat and late and night I'm never sure if the bass is too loud for my neighbours!
The only problem I have with the speakers is that there are a lot of cables, this is due to the fact that there are 2 speakers attached to the subwoofer, then the cable with the remote on the end, the one that goes in the headphone jack and then one that you plug into the mains.
So there are 5 cables.
Although it's great that they are long there are a lot so if you don't like cables I'd go for some wireless speakers!
However the overall sound quality is fantastic, I haven't heard any fuzziness, white noise over my music, the bass control is brilliant. I like them as you can certainly hear the panning of the music, sometimes speakers don't provide a great deal of pan but these are set up well.
The aethetics of the speakers are great too, the ones I have are black with silver trim, and it's not a tacky silver, they do look good quality. I also like it that the on/off button has a blue led, very nice!
I think the speakers have been well thought out, they look good, sound good, are user friendly and have that little extra with having a remote!

These speakers are exactly what I needed for my student bedroom. Aside from having perfectly decent sound quality, the important advantages of this particular setup are as follows: 1) the headphone in, and audio in at the front of the controller means that changing input sources, and listening with headphones can both be performed tangle free 2) the colour fits in nicely with black monitors 3) the adjustable base is a great help as if listening at ... ...disturbing neighbours or other people in the house who may be sleeping. They have also taken a fair share of punishment, being knocked over etc and continue to live another day. If you are wanting huge sound then these speakers are not necessarily for you, but I cant see many other reasons why these speakers wouldn't be perfect. A good buy, but worth shopping around for prices, I got mine for 45 when PC world were doing an offer. ...

Review of Logitech Z 4
Advantages: I love my music and they sound soooooo good. Disadvantages: Where on earth do I put the subwoofer?
...speakers. The Logitech Z-4 comprises three speakers (two satellites and one subwoofer). The left and right satellite speakers connect to the subwoofer, both left and right plugs colour coded to their respective sockets. The mini jack colour coded (lime green) so you know which socket to plug it into on your computers sound card. We also have a wired remote control (surely that's an oxymoron) with ON/OFF button, volume control, bass control, headphone ... ...quite happily allows playback from my mp3 player).
The satellite speakers are heavier than they look, and I notice that the stands unscrew and there is a hanging socket on the back of each so they can be wall mounted etc. There is no stand or hanging socket on the subwoofer. Where to put that? (It's currently sitting on top the printer under the computer desk.) The satellite speaker wires are a respectable length so can be placed for optimum effect.

My parents bought me these speakers for my new pc for my birthday. My brother had the z3's, I liked them but then I saw the Z4's and liked the look of them.
Set up was very easy. I was blown away by the clarity of the trebles and the punch of the bass. The little wired control is very useful, being able to easily change volume, bass and power on or off. They look very stylish too.
An excellent add on for any music lover's PC. And they were relatively cheap. I compared them to the tinny sound of my old pc speakers and my brother's z3's, the improvement was fantastic. I recommend these speakers very much. ...

Advantages: Great Sound, Nice Design, Handy Separate Controller Disadvantages: Fingerpring Magnet Finish
I've always been a little sceptical about spending money on 2.1 speaker systems - coming from a Musical Background and being trained in Music Technology means that I'm rather picky. That said, I was pleasantly surprised by this offering from Logitech. The sound is crisp and even, with a healthy amount of Mid Frequency which is often a "gray area" on cheaper 2.1 systems. The sub works well too - the independent bass volume control on the handy volume/power/input/control ... ...extra input on the controller, which is particularly useful if you don't fancy burrowing behind the sub to access the main input socket, or if you find that your input cable is just that little bit too short! The only problem I've found so far is that the Sub woofer is hardly "portable"!! Also, the sleek shiny black plastic front of the speakers and remote do act like a fingerprint magnet, so fairly frequent cleaning is needed to keep them looking ...

The Logitech Z-4 Speaker System is simple plug in System that comes with 1 Subwoofer and 2 Speakers along with a dial to change the Sound and Bass. The dial is a big asset to the Speakers as you can change them as you dont always want a big Bass when watching T.V as when your listening to Music. The wires are a decent length but you will need extention cables if you want to lay the speakers out in the corners of your room. You wont need extensions ... ...white but i think it costs slightly more of Amazon. The set up is really simple, you just need to plug the speakers into your T.V, Computer, Labtop or Game Console. It is also worth mentioning that Logitech sell an adaptor should your TV not have the jack needed. ...

The Creative Soundcard and External Hub is Excellent, I swear the sound difference is highly noticeable. I have a set of logitechZ-560 connected to the soundcard

Before i found the sound some what muffled by the base and the surround effect somewhat rubbish. Since i have adjusted the Speakers properly using the Proper THX CERTIFIED Software, the difference is excellent. Most items to do with sound, like speakers and soundcards. I have found it is best to buy THX certified items. This means it will be Very loud and the sound will be crystal clear. Just like in the cinema.
The whole unit ships in two boxes, with two games and 4 cds for install and applications. The install will take about a total of about 5minutes ...
