Lolita Lempicka Perfumed Shower Gel

Advantages: Smells nice
Disadvantages: Causes skin irritation

...The perfumed shower gel I bought Lolita Lempicka L Perfumed Shower Gel as an accompaniment to my 50 ml bottle of Eau de Parfum and a 200 ml bottle of Perfumed Body Lotion. The bottle is an attractive turquoise plastic and has a golden lid and a hanging signature of 'L' cast across its neck. I have so far avoided using perfumed body lotion or shower gel versions of a particular fragrance because I was convinced these perfumed products do not have the same quality as other shower gels that were formulated with essential oils to be used on dry or sensitive skin. I have very sensitive skin that's prone to eczema so I tend to use my own soap-free non-lather shower gel formulas in the shower. I also noticed that gentle everyday shampoos are better tolerated by my skin and it doesn't become as dehydrated as from a shower gel... Read review

...In 1983 fashion designer Josiane Pividal and her husband Joseph Pividal, an interior designer, created their label, "Lolita Lempicka", named in homage to Russian writer Vladimir Vladimirovich Nabokov whose novel Lolita (1955) is frequently cited as his most important work, and to the polish painter Tamara de Lempicka who was a famous painter during the art deco period. Labels are usually named after the founder i.e. Versace, Armani etc but here we have the reverse; founders who changed their names to that of their label becoming Lolita and Joseph-Marie Lempicka once the label took off. They launched their first fragrance "Lolita Lempicka" in1997 and it has won several awards including Best Women’s Fragrance awarded jointly by the Fragrance Foundation and the American FIFI award in 1998. Since childhood I am instinctly drawn to the letter 'L' it being not only my initial and having 3 'l'-s in my first name; the letter L is the symbol for softness and kindness and it was how I was described by my family when I was little. (Not that has changed since! ) Having launched in 2006 I only recently discovered this perfume when browsing in a duty free on my way back to London. I didn't like their signature scent but fell instantly in love with this one ! The perfume house Lolita Lempicka is a fashion house label founded in 1983 by a couple Josiana and Joseph Pividal.
